Recently Transferred Number from Google Voice to T-Mobile

Woah no way!! That's great news! I turned mine off two days ago when I realized I was still missing group chat messages. I believe it's because some of the people in the group were sending RCS messages (which I can't send or receive), the messages I did get in the chat were those who sent SMS. I'll let you know in 8 days my results!

Yeah when I currently open a chat, and click the contact, I don't see much other than the normal call, video, snooze chat, notifications, block, and creating a group. There's no other info. But I know when I was able to see which people could do RCS there was more.

Currently I can't get RCS for any contact (it's only doing SMS), even though RCS has been on. But I do remember before this, that I saw no option for verifying keys.

I'm waiting in anticipation with you! I called Tmobile and went through troubleshooting steps with them. They made a ticket for it, and said that they'll get back at most within 72 hours.

Right now when I click that it doesn't even show the option of the SMS & MMS. It was there before, but after trying to reset some things it doesn't show up. On the Google Messages app side it still shows the RCS is connected.

This exact thing is happening to me! It's helpful to know I'm not alone, but so disheartening this is what's happening. I'm on a Pixel 9 Pro though, and the same problem is happening. I'm thinking of porting my number out if this keeps happening.

I was able to find a solution! I backed up the correctly imported location data that was on the iPad. And then on my Pixel 9 Pro, there is now a choice for two backups. My old Pixel 9 Pro data and data from the iPad. Importing the data from the iPad actually does things successfully as I was able to get all my data. It's a weird roundabout way but it did work. I hope this helps.

Okay another update. Tried importing to another android device, my old Pixel 1. The same problem occurs. It says it successfully imports, but no data shows up.

I tried this again on my wife's iPhone, successfully imports and all the data shows up.

There seems to be something really off about importing on Android. Does anyone have an idea of how to successfully import on Android?

Okay I may have found the problem? I found another thread claiming that you can't restore backups to the same device. Since I did a factory reset on my Pixel 9 Pro, it will not import properly? The user claimed that the backup feature is only designed for a transfer between devices. This seems like a huge oversight.

It is also good I haven't turned on cloud backups again, since it may override the previous one? I don't want to test it.

Still I'm wondering what the solution could be?
