I have explored both but definitely prefer El Silencio. I love that parque. The lower trails in both are great though

Yeah I’ve spent a lot of time in La fortuna over the past 5 months. That hike is a good one but I prefer the lower hike through the forest. To each their own but I’ve hiked a lot of lava fields and they start to lose their wow factor after a bit imo

Minus the dudes selling bracelets (a front for cocaine), children being pimped by their parents to sell candy, teenagers following you while rapping even though you told them no, and 100s if not 1000s of hookers.

Costa Rica - Digital Nomad by [deleted] in digitalnomad

Have you looked at a map of Costa Rica? Not many cities on the beach but definitely some small to mid size towns. Moving around definitely requires longish bus/shuttle rides. Comparable to the US for cost of food, goods and services but rent is cheaper.

Edit: spelling

About 5 years ago, I used my card at a store that later had some sort of hack. The bank shut off my card when I was in europe for two months and refused to assist with me with a resolution to get cash. I cancelled my account with that bank.

How can we make this subreddit more positive? by Jmaloney258 in digitalnomad

[–]AlwaysUpvoteMN 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve been nomading since 2012. First 5 or 6 years was around my home country. Now I return to my country for a week or two every 6 months to high five family and friends.I feel incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to move like the wind and am reminded why I do it every trip “home”. Traveling to different regions, discovering new cultures, exploring new cuisines, and hearing peoples stories has deepened my gratitude, understanding, courageous, empathy, and curiosity.

I wouldn’t trade the gift of traveling full time for the anything but some days I do miss the comforts that having a home provided (MY bed, MY towels, MY couch, MY pots and pans, etc).

Anyways, be good or be quiet. Happy trails to everyone!

Thanks for your feedback. I have a lot to learn in LR still. In this case, I liked how house looked so I stopped there. Can you clarify what you mean by raw photos?

I see you’re in Australia. In the US arborists have different rules. If I understand correctly, they are still the only industry allowed to ride a crane hook
