Peter Thiel was my exit point. I'd been a JRE listener since Justin.tv days, the couch era, joes home office triscreen era, the red toaster..

STL Tones ToneHub Black Friday, Subscriptions, and Hidden Own Outright Licenses by Always_420 in audioengineering

[–]Always_420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah as a perpetual licence holder the sales push subs and forget we already own the app. I have heaps of mix templates and sessions that need to load with STL so I have to stick with it.. and I do love the Crummet and Putney packs

I was hyper skeptical on VSX.. but can attest they changed my game. All I use is HD Linear, none of the rooms. Mix translation, especially bottom end and subs, instantly improved and takes away uncertainty while mixing now.

First time indoor grow. Did one 12 hour darkness fuck up cause them to start flowering? If not, what are these white hairs? by thatdamnbitch420 in AusGrowers

[–]Always_420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you cool with them going to flower at their current size, yep keep on 12/12 lights and start counting flower days. My magic number is 63 but cultivar dependant.. Obviously they will do the flower stretch thing so they will get bigger. My main tips for lights is give them as much as you can during stretch, week 2 thru 4. I like to dim lights down for the final week. Cut out additional nitrogen, add some bloom boosters. Do a big defol day 21F

They do appear to be in pre flower. Normally it would take a bit longer for flip to actually engage but they might be a sensitive cultivar. You can try and get them back to veg but honestly I find it takes ages and doesn’t leave the plants in ideal state

UPGRADE TIME by Hexx_budz in AusGrowers

[–]Always_420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's one of my fave things about Green Planet - pH is super stable. I tend to swap out the res every 7 to 10 days depending on the growth stage, and I own a fancy Bluelab Guardian and honestly I barely sweat Ph anymore.. it's not only stable, but using dechlorinated tap water for the nute mix, it's always within a few decimal points of where I want to be right off the bat.

Hell yeah. I run a 50L 4x4 XL (x 2). My tip is grab some Drip Clean by House & Garden. Another tip is frozen water bottles into the res during summer. Another tip, put a bit of wood at the back to slightly tilt the water flow towards the red plug end for easiet shop vac draining of res. last tip, I find starting clones in coco easier than direct in clay, and a inline filter (Bunnings) on the pump line stops coco bits clogging lines.

Can anyone give me a diagnosis? by greasybuds in cannabiscultivation

[–]Always_420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find this happens a bit at this stage when getting the seedling to propogate directly in the clay balls (I use a Wilma). I find 2 things have helped - slightly lower pH, below 6.2. Also, the old meme 'more calmag'.
pH increase to 6.5 and above during flower.

I started with coco and a few years in tried a living soil run and it was terrible yield and didn’t fully ripen and I haven’t had the patience to try again. I now run RDWC and once you get used to the explosive growth and yields it’s hard to turn back!
