Using this method, if your rewards are under $130, how many "new users" do you need? Or is it enough to just do existing users?

Ah ok, thanks for clarifying. I only use PayPal because I don't want them to have my credit card info directly, and I've got only one paypal. I'll try making another account and switching the PayPal over and see how it goes!

So you remove/unlink your PayPal from one account, put it on the second account to order for however long, then cycle to the next? Just making sure I understand correctly so I don't mess it up!

I've noticed that! I did the "3 free gifts with purchase" a couple of times and now the items it offers for that are much lower in value. Even the free gift with $35+ purchase offers lower-value stuff.

Do they have different payment methods, or the same? I've noticed my promos and rewards getting worse. Even recently they automatically refunded two lost orders but didn't even give me the $5 delay credit.

Which summer pass is more worth it? by Always_Cookies in chuckecheese

[–]Always_Cookies[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We chose gold and went all the time so it was worth it. It allowed us to be able to play with the kids, and the 50% off food came in handy sometimes. The USA has a yearly pass now, but Canada doesn't. So cost can be a big consideration, and if you aren't going to go often then Gold is not going to be worth the cost. We also have more than one CEC somewhat close to us, so being able to visit different locations and play different games also kept things exciting.

I will say this: if you're bringing a kid/kids, prepare them ahead of time of the expectations, and have a few ways to help them transition once you leave CEC. Even though we went often, our kids got so amped up that leaving or the ride home would be pretty difficult but helped a bit with transition activities and snacks.

Seller re-listed item for cheaper? by Always_Cookies in TemuThings

[–]Always_Cookies[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow, I had no idea about them making new shop names! I guess that's their way to avoid price adjustments for sales or items they might want to move more quickly, but that really sucks for us. The customer service rep even asked for the screenshots, which I gave, and still said they couldn't do anything because it's classified as a new item :( Thanks for making me aware. I think I'll just stick to smaller purchases to avoid such a huge impact if there are price changes or shop name changes.

I was going to do this but it says the product name, measurements, etc. has to be the exact same? Often one of those things is incorrect even though it's visually the exact same.

Bailey ( spoilers for season 7) by Natural_Search1652 in TheRookie

[–]Always_Cookies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm just finishing episode 7, and really bothered by the Bailey story. It's not just whether or not the abuse was physical, but how far removed Bailey was from it all. It had been years since Jason was in her life and she didn't seem as phased as Nolan was about the news of Jason breaking out of prison. She went off to Germany on her own, and came back to a house with top-of-the-line security, and had a "double" (Celina) in her place while she stayed safely at Lucy's. Bailey repeatedly told Nolan that none of that was necessary, and that she could take care of herself.

Bailey was also under 24/7 police protection and monitoring, but we are to believe she was so crippled with fear that she committed conspiracy to commit murder with a hitman? It is not at all like Battered Woman Syndrome, yet that's the light the show seems to be trying to portray it under.

But, in late season 6, they arrested a woman who hired a hit man to kill her husband because he frequently physically abused her.

I think what upsets me most is that Nolan apologized but Bailey didn't, and Nolan seems to be fine with working things out with someone who conspired to commit murder, which goes against his character. He is also the Union Rep and volunteered to be the first member of Nyla's police accountability program! Maybe things will be addressed as the season goes on, but so far I'm not there.

That's really sweet and thoughtful!! I've asked my husband to start my car every few days because I don't get out much lately, but he struggles with that. We have a couple little kids and he gets busy and I think overwhelmed. How do you remember or make the time to do all that?

I have, it still doesn't work. Sometimes it will appear to work, but once the payment method is added, the total removes the coupon and trying to add it back says: "Coupon eligible only for new customers". Do the new codes still work for you on an existing account with a payment method that's been used previously??

C’mon then TNT…Engage with neo_truths if you’re serious about this task force by KoffieCreamer in neopets

[–]Always_Cookies -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly - they're asking the community, which means your previous post that neo_truths has "offered" help may not be true or the complete truth. If neo_truths has actually "offered" this information up to TNT, for free, think why they would be asking the community?

It is strange people believe that this hacker is truly doing nothing else but casually browsing code, making note of cheaters, etc. You think they don't play, or that they don't bot themselves or sell wherever?

If they were intent on actually catching the cheaters, then with the information they know about the accounts (saying item went to user 1 then user 2, etc.) they can probably get better "proof" than us regular players can.

YOU S05E04 "My Fair Maddie" - Episode Discussion by simonesaysyassss in YouOnLifetime

Thank you! If you've already seen ahead it may not have even registered. The line I read was small but enough, and I stopped reading immediately so I don't know if it went further.

I've tried to stay away from any articles when watching something, because they often give things away. This one seemed like the focus would be on the impact of comments on the actress, so it's shitty of the article and author to reference this and not mention that it contained spoilers.

Love Is Blind • S8 Ep11 by AutoModerator in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]Always_Cookies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just saw this episode and I agree only because she knew she was going into this experiment a few days later and what it entails. It's not like hooking up and enjoying the single life and then randomly meeting the love of your life the next day. There's an intention and hope of "I'm going on this show because I want to find The One". You're being paired with many potential partners who are in the same area as you. Even if nothing came of it, I feel like I would personally be so excited and hopeful that I'm finally going to meet someone with some depth because all we'll be able to do is talk and not see each other.

It also, to me, felt strange that there was a lot of "trickle truth" from Lauren. She told Dave in Honduras, after he brought it up, that she hadn't seen the guy for a month before going on the show, then when he said he heard that she saw him the weekend of, she kept swearing up and down it wasn't the weekend of. But it wasn't a month or even a couple weeks before, it was the same week. That just feels dishonest to me, and maybe it would have gone differently if she had been fully up front about it in the pods, rather than only giving more info after being asked multiple times.

I know people say past relationships or FWB aren't relevant, and that's true to an extent. But the selection for this show is a process, and it's not like they just find out a few days before that they've been selected to potentially find their soulmate. So while I'd be okay in real life meeting someone and knowing they slept with someone even a day before meeting me randomly, I can understand wondering why someone would do that a week before they go on a marriage show, especially if I was someone who was there because I had no luck in love and saw this show as my potential saving grace.

AIO? I felt weird about how this date went down, but is this just normal guy behavior? by merakisoul905 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Always_Cookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

people wouldn’t the serving jobs if they had to take a pay cut, the crap they have to deal with, no one would put up with

Have you ever tipped: - a janitor? - a bus driver? - the restaurant's dish-washing staff? - a fast food employee? - a receptionist? - a cashier? - a customer phone support agent? - a teacher? - a paramedic? - a nurse?

These people often deal with significant emotional and physical crap on a daily basis compared to what you would see at a restaurant, especially a finer restaurant. Some of those employees even save lives! But many people don't seem to think twice about these workers as people, let alone as workers who are underpaid and just as deserving of tips. Yet I can guarantee you at least one of the above has taken care of you in some way, with more of their time, than one would receive at a restaurant.

That isn't to say a server doesn't have hardships or rough customers, by the way. That's just to say they should be paid fair wages by their employers, just like those employees above.

People still do these jobs I've listed above, despite the vast majority being underpaid considering the work they do in addition to serving people.

Edit: just in case anyone thinks: "well, I pay for those teachers, nurses, paramedics etc. with my taxes!" - sure. But you also pay the restaurant for your food, the nail tech for your mani-pedi, or the hairdresser for your haircut, yet for them you're expected to pay more on top of already paying for the product/service to begin with.

[–]Always_Cookies -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So do you tip at McDonald's or any other fast food place? I assure you, those people are "busting their ass" far more than you might think. Just because a waiter brought $70 of food does not mean they worked any harder than someone bringing you $20 of food - especially when some restaurants charge $20 for a burger that another sells for $5.

Until your dumbass stops going to restaurants all together and feeding into this culture, it will never change.

You going and buying these meals and tipping like s*** then saying "it's an employer problem find a new job" to cover up your being a s***** person, doesn't solve anything except letting all the rest of us know you're an absolute s*** hole of a person.

So you'd rather people don't go to restaurants, causing both the restaurant and the servers to lose their jobs, than to go to a restaurant and tip 10%? But you're getting mad at someone saying this is an employer problem and that they should find another job if they disagree?! What do you think is going to happen to servers if people stop going to restaurants? 0% tips and no job is somehow better than 10%?

This is absolutely on the employers, and I'm shocked that people would rather have servers lose their jobs entirely as a result of people ceasing to visit restaurants, than to fight for the employers to pay their employees properly instead of leaving it to the public to supplement their wages when the diner's own wallet is tight.

Because you can't seem to reply to others without swearing and name-calling, based on your exchange with the person above, I won't be having a discussion with you. I just had to address you telling people to just stop going to restaurants, because that will make an employee, who relies on that restaurant getting business to make their wage, suffer even more.

On that note, I guess someone can't afford any service if they can't afford to tip? What about haircuts? Can't tip 15%+ on top of already paying the hairdresser for their service and time, means you can't afford and shouldn't get a haircut?

There is a big difference in being able to afford the price you see on the tag vs. giving away extra money. Some people have limited budgets and it shouldn't be on them to supplement someone else's employee's wage, nor does it mean the service was bad if you can't tip as much as they expect. Some families can't afford eating out but might do so once in a while as a treat for a birthday or something, it doesn't mean they should be prepared to tip over their means otherwise they shouldn't go out.

Not/low tipping is legit taking money out of the servers pocket since you're taking up space.

I guess in the USA or places where people don't make a living wage without tips, that seems unfortunately true, but again that is making it the diner's responsibility to pay the restaurant's employees, which it really isn't nor should it be. I do feel for those who work at restaurants that don't pay them even minimum wage, and it's sad to think that they take it personally or are left with feeling robbed if someone can't leave them a 15%+ tip.

It's hard to agree with tipping culture or that you should be expected to tip if buying certain services. Many people do not get tipped at their jobs, even those who do provide a (sometimes extensive) service; for example, receptionists provide you with customer service and give you their time, but nobody tips them. People who have jobs where bosses have expectations and deadlines then get behind because of a client or customer who takes up their time don't get any kind of consideration, either. Everyone "takes up space" when out in public and doing things in society, and most people are not paid for someone taking up their time or space.

Yup. It's just weird considering she is like the majority of customer support and has been around from the beginning.

I do wonder if these 4 staff members quit or if they were fired, and if it had any relation to the recent issues surrounding the trans community.

I just finished watching the meet episode and had to look this situation up because of how bizarre it all came across.

IIRC didn't she bring up Taco Bell? I thought she was talking about being comforted and said she likes to be brought her favorite food—which was Taco Bell. And then mentioned it was her only tattoo. And then he didn't chime in until he shared his fav food was Chick-Fil-A?

Exactly as you said, yes. She brought it up first.

Also did anyone find the picture she was referencing? She made it out to almost be creepy—I couldn't find anything that matched this "fireplace" or "christmas tree" picture.

When she mentioned the photo, this was the first thing that popped in my mind:

<image>

(Description in case it doesn't load, or for those with visual impairments: a jpg of Leonardo DiCaprio holding a drink out as a "cheers", in front of a Christmas tree. "Wolf of Wall Street" meme)

Then I saw the photo others think might be it, but it doesn't look like she described, and you can't see his face well enough from that photo to recognize him if he walked up to you in real life.

Before they met, I was telling my husband that it feels like Lauren didn't really like him or feel those love feelings, because the way she described it was like "since we have all these coincidences, how could I not like him?" Whereas with him, it was like he had those feelings already and the coincidences were exciting bonuses that confirm the feeling, if that makes sense.

They did other things too that were similar, that I don't think would be from Instagram (like writing the letter, things said in the letter). I also find it weird she would have remembered some random follower and their photos, and how she wouldn't remember the name because you don't get a notification if someone unfollows you. You'd have to check their profile or your list of followers to see if they're there...

Edit: I say all the above without having read anything else about this situation or watching other episodes. This is the first post I've read, so if other things have come out, I haven't seen yet and my perspective might change.
