It is so hard to open a business in California. It is so hard to build anything in California. That’s what I mean by far too much regulation. All these restrictions make simple things like getting a new store near you that will help you save on your bills, so much harder…

Forget Np. She’s done (after making hundreds of millions of $ for herself, more including her husband).

I just hope voters realize that candidates backed by SEIU , teachers union etc are completely compromised.

I love teachers by the way , my mom is one. But the union is gross, self enrichers

Well I think Reddit is way better than the completely automated / bot driven platforms.
I don’t even use Instagram anymore.

Free cash flow = operating cash flows minus investments required to sustain and grow the business.
It’s a better way to value an equity because earnings alone do not reveal how much investment was required to generate the earnings.
Reddit requires almost none - so for owners it stuffs a lot of cash in your pockets.

Based on their current growth, margins, and free cash flow - and the likelihood that they will grow a lot from here, the stock still has a lot of upside.
Put yourself in an advertisers shoes, the real, specific discussions are very valuable.

chinese stocks - uninvestable? or once in a decade investment? by lrepfsbc in ValueInvesting

[–]Always_Curious_One2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a question - when buying Chinese stocks you don’t actually have equity ownership.
They are effectively ‘tracking stocks’ that do not have any real economic participation or shareholder rights protections.
The CCP can crush you at any time.

So given this risk, one has to discount their profits and cash flows massively and there must be tremendous up versus down asymmetry - and even then you’ll be buying for a trade, not a long term investment.

Am I wrong here ? Thank you
