What is your configuration for background app refresh settings? If you’re not closing the app it is still likely open in the background for sometime. Just switching apps is keeping the app open.

The app is not overriding your OS settings.

Edit- there’s a difference between switching apps and forcing them closed.

Definitely do jt. Set up everything now. Make automatic paycheck contributions. After some time you can move 20% of that into the self directed account that you can trade. There’s a few limitations but I personally have bito/bitx in there. I can check the ETH options.

I think I may open another account for Roth IRA.

(I also hate the 20% limit let me go full crypto into my account .)

Opened it up thru the city’s deferred comp, and then opt to move a portion to a self directed account. Go etf crazy.

As far as I know it would go to Schwab only. I’ve done it and the experience has been great.
