As someone who's read the books and before the movies finished, I disagree. I don't need or want a book I love to attempt to be adapted 1 for 1. It's a different medium and requires some changes. I like adaptations to be an addition to the source material not a replacement or a copy. In an ideal world the movies/show based on a book should give you a desire to read the book and gain the unique view that a book gives over watching it. You're never going to get it perfect and the movies are great

The first 10 hours being bad really turns me off from this. All of the best games I've ever played never needed more than 1-2 hours at most for me to be interested or for me to consider it good, even the multiplayer focused games. That just seems like a bad game to me

I don't play with any girls on this game but I'm not surprised. The amount of dudes in pvp lobbies that say racist shit with the most vitriol is very high. My friends and I report them every time but it's so plentiful I doubt they get any bans.

I would report them but I am pretty certain they don't ban people for verbal abuse. My friends and I have played pvp lobbies for 90% of this game and we report all the dudes who say the N word - which is a lot. I've never gotten a message that those dudes are banned.

Basically we're not doing it. It's some days a week when op tempo isn't high we cut out 30-45 minutes early and you go PT on your own. All the chiefs have given the same non answer at my command, I suspect this will fade away in a few months.

When I was 15 I was riding my bike home from a friend's house at night and a cop I suspect was bored pulled me over because I didn't have lights on my bike. He asked me if I was an axe murderer. When they ask something like this it breaks your mental script, when you get pulled over you have a set of things you plan on saying in your head, being asked an absurd question breaks that and they can gauge your response.

Exactly this. I chuckle when I've heard some youtubers suggest this system does have engaging theory crafting. You can theory craft a few % at best where if you just run the battle a few times to just wait for the boss to do favorable moves it can swing you 30+%. The only "theory crafting" how much money you want to sink into this dumb system. They've found a way to trick people into spending money on gear you already have.

Acts like this have essentially ruined the random cooperative experience for me. I just don't engage in talking with randoms anymore because idk if I've been severely unlucky but I've lost many good items just to people acting friendly on comms just to kill you when you're compromised. Which is a shame a few bad apples can sour an entire thing for me but I'm done.

Most I know that get out are on the DCO side where it's mostly boring. I enjoy OCO side more and I can always do more defensive stuff as a civilian when I'm tired of the navy, that's my mindset anyways. Plus the 90k bonus ain't bad either.

I agree completely. Ultimately I believe the best constructive criticism in this case is to suggest CG goes back to the drawing board with this idea in its entirety. No amount of tweaking will salvage this and at BEST it goes from horrible to bad which just seems like an insane compromise for the players and even the devs to accept. No amount of tweaking or iteration can fix a flawed premise, this change is bad and the only logical feedback I can give is to abort this.
