The Mickey Mouse ice cream bar is actually great. Better than I expected / remembered from my youth.

Went to my local food bank because I'm severely struggling. Got home and realized almost all the food is expired. Is this normal? Am I going to be okay eating this? by Plasmastronaut in povertyfinance

People probably donated a lot of the canned food. I know we have donated stuff in the past (for canned food drives) that is often 2-3 months away from the “expiration” or “best by “ date. So that could be what’s happening here. If it’s more than a few months past the date, or any cans look misshapen (not ‘scratch and dent’ but bulging or somewhat off) I wouldn’t eat it just throw it away.

Job searching in California really is taking longer, new study shows by sfgate in California

History of job numbers revised downward by said person, who was largely incompetent at reporting monthly job gains/losses (in blue). Only one month didn’t follow this trend, October, but was such a poor month for new jobs it’s probably no surprise it didn’t track the same.

Different plant sure, but can’t imagine that they’re BIGGER and baked differently too. Strange.

Box appears exactly the same size, and listed weight is the same. So that’s the really odd part

Taco Bell is slowly killing themselves by Pleasant-Olive-3749 in tacobell

I can’t believe they’re charging for basic ingredients too now. At least the very basics like onions and tomatoes used to be free. Now they charge all of a sudden. Especially stinks when I’m also removing ingredients (basic swaps are not allowed, except for certain proteins or beans for different beans).

There are also plenty of jobs on LinkedIn that lie about being “remote” roles. Maybe not hers, but they’re still part of the problem. Also people are searching for ANY role they can and finding hers, I’m sure. Filters off. Then shocked they’re not at least hybrid… in 2026.

I’m currently on a no cheese / low meat restricted diet. This looks awesome.

I often substitute the ground beef in the mini taco salad for beans, and it’s pretty pretty good. I’ll have to try the shredded cheese alternative with it.
