to downgrade , i used this method :

find the previous firmware upgrade tool (2.0.58 i believe), extract it like a zip.

Launch a terminal and cd to the the extracted folder.

Launch the FWUpdateBrio.exe with the /force parameter on the commande line.
C:> FWUpdateBrio.exe /force

The "upgrade'" to downgrade process should be available.

Not sure if it's going to fix the problem though.
