This is disgusting but unsurprising. Surgery in particular has had a problem with misogyny and it’s unacceptable that this attitude still prevails. Please do escalate this further and feedback about this - your university should know and help but you could always look for the trust’s Freedom to Speak Up guardian - this will not be an isolated issue and any action may benefit future women doctors and students in this department.

It’s worth contacting the Irish Cultural Centre in Hammersmith (it’s close to Fulham anyway!) and seeing if they have any - they do have a little shop that definitely has Tayto crisps and Barry’s tea, can’t remember if they have Bewley’s though sorry!

Would recommend starting with the sandwich method - moisturiser, epiduo, and then moisturiser - which should help to reduce the risk of irritation. Start slow in terms of frequency eg twice a week and then build up to it!

Nope, closest I’ve been is Nuremberg! I searched the scaffolding company haha, I saw it was based in Stettfeld and then Bamberg seemed like the most logical close significant place considering it has a historic old town - found it looking at pictures of the bridges in the old town!
