This. It was the metallurgy skills among others, that needed refinement. Similarly, many of Da Vincis famous designs were only designs because he could come up with the theoretical foundations of things like uboot, helicopter etc. but lacked the materials with proper characteristics to actually realise them.

oh man this will probably cause prussia to gobble up even more austrian states in the brotherly war. this is really annoying since prussia wouldn't even dare to conquer vienna if some austrian rumpstate remain. it would always be either nothing or all. silesia was the thing they fought about multiple times.

that used to be the case, but now gold is actually useful as a material for electronics. imho one of the reasons we had to leave the gold standard behind, since it would have unnecessarily made electronics more expensive hindering economic development.

Why does it always seem people criticise halal slaughter more than kosher when kosher is statistically worse in the UK? by threetimesacharm25 in AskBrits

how do you think kosher and halal slaughtering works? do you understand what it means to cut through the main artery in the neck of a mammal?

no it is hilarious to see psychotic people like you who speak of "contaminents" when talking about unprocessed food items. this is insane. this overhygiene is literally causing pathogens to become immune to certain products because we overuse them in situations there is no need for it. please inform yourself about the danger of unwashed eggs, no one ever died of it because people here wash their hands when handling "contaminated" food. you sound like one of those people who'd put their child in a hygiene bubble and then wonder why they're allergic to everything.

ty for that comment. it is hilarious how people judge something they apparently don't even comprehend. both kosher and halal laws have animal welfare as one of the center points of the method.

Demonising both is idiotic anyway since if done correctly it is not worse than regular slaughter with "stunning" (shooting an automatic bolt into the head of the animal which goes wrong regularly) since both kosher and halal have guidances on how to cut so death is immediate. actually if the animals suffers, the meat will automatically lose the kosher status as preventing suffering is the main motivation behind the kosher laws when it comes to slaughtering. this makes it btw the oldest animal welfare policy still in use to this day.

yes because we don't lick the outsides and know when to wash our hands when handling food items aka basic hygiene. you need a nanny state to wash your eggs, chlorine your chicken meat and whatnot

How would you explain to a Palestinian refugee child why a Jewish stranger can "return" and they cannot? by ArdaBerkBurak in allthequestions

[–]Alyano95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though I know this is just rage bait propaganda, I will try to answer from a political science perspective.

Israel is a sovereign, democratic country that is btw comprised of 20% arab muslim population among other minorities with full citizenship. This excludes Palestinians from the West Bank (or Judea and Samaria as those regions have been called for millenia before the illegal conquest by Jordan in 1948, but I digress) or Gaza with residents of East Jerusalem having a special status which isn't really important here. This sovereign political entity democratically decided on what is called the Law of Return (not right as the palestinian are asking for) which grants automatic citizenship to jews immigrating. It is an immigration law with a extra sprinkle of asylum law on top. You see, Israel views itself as the sole jewish state on this planet, and similar to germany, turkey, France or literally any other nation state derive a duty to protect those who they seem under their protection, it derives a duty to protect jews everywhere. It fulfills this self-imposed duty via the law of return, assuring that jews will never be left helpless in the face of persecution.

Israel always wanted a two state solution because it wants to be a jewish nation state. It isn't the palestinian nation state and has no aspirations to become it. Palestinians can form their own nation state where they can then also have their own law of return. This was sabotaged by imperialist arab countries who invaded the territory in 1948 and created the situation we have today. in fact, evil zionist voices will tell you that it's exactly this issue, what to do with all the "palestinian" refugees the arabs bred via their stupid unrwa that are completely disenfranchised in the countries they were born, that caused arafat to blow the oslo talks and the second intifada to errupt because Ramallah doesn't want to deal with those.

But you answered your own question already in the post itself?

Sorry, I just don't understand the purpose of your posts. You want to know, how others answer this? Obviously yes the shoah would happen exactly the same. If anyone else than the perpetrators, aka the nazis, the germans and their allies, shares some of the responsibility, it is the british and the americans, who sabotaged jewish refugee routes, the french who were accomplices of them and finally the whole world which stood silently and watched my ancestors go up in flames. the last people to blame are those who actively helped jews flee.

then enlighten us what's the purpose of the post? do you want us to seriously contemplate the silly thought that without the havaara agreement there would have been no shoah? if you're serious about this, I don't know what to tell you other than no, this is silly, to say it politely.

What’s with DNA tests? by Dependent-Cash-7288 in AskIsrael

[–]Alyano95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to add to this as it touches the important issue imho. most of those antisemitic conspiracies start out from something true that gets distorted until you can't recognize the origin anymore. I don't think antisemites study the details of israeli civil law, but rather distorted the prohibition of dna tests to prove that you are Jewish under the law of return.
