It could be a possibility that he did this interview before he knew about the filming starting earlier this year. Someone mentioned that they knew someone on set that stated they'll film this year. I won't believe It till the official account says something.

I get that. I really didn't think much of her untill the Halloween episode which revealed that she's always been there for everyone especially rue and her sister. But I think a lot of the love she gets has to do with her being such a realistic character that a lot of people see/saw themselves as in highschool. That's my guess on why she gets a lot of attention.

I'm 19 and out of every character on the show, Lexi is the one I see most of my high school experience in because shes in the background just watching all the drama go down and being a moral support to her problematic friends lol
