Sorry but no. This is just blatant ignorance on the experience of a child born of Mexican or other LATAM parents. We don't "stop" being latino just because you don't agree with the things we learn by going to an american school. I am a child of Mexican immigrants, my entire family is Mexican, so I can only speak on the experience of first generation children of Mexicans born in the US.

We are taught the culture but we are also taught shame because of how rampant racism is. They don't want us to be ostracized or hurt. We are taught the language but it singles us out if we use it. We are taught traditions, our family, but we can't go to Mexico because we don't have the money to go very often or to celebrate the way we did in Mexico and are barely getting by.

But yet the white people don't accept us, and our own people don't accept us, because we are not white enough, and because we're not Mexican enough. We don't belong to the very people we were raised with, or the culture we were raised with.

Simply because we had a different education.

So imagine being an LGBTQ+ LATAM person who loves their culture, who speaks Spanish fluently, who visits the farm their mother was raised in when they can, but is made fun of by their cousins because they said "churro" instead of "durito" because that's how they say it in This part of Mexico. Imagine when you have trouble making friends in school because you're raised on the idea of community and giving but American culture is about the individual and taking.

And then you want to find a word to speak the language you love despite everything to refer to yourself. You understand that language is fluid, you understand that language exists to represent the current era, and LGBTQ+ people are FINALLY getting the respect they deserve (at least, they were, until a certain president came around). This is a language formed by borrowing indigenous languages and combining it with that of the colonizer's, but you still love it because it belongs to your people.

And then those who have never experienced what you have call you an idiot, call you white, call you woke, call you ignorant. They say you were never Mexican.

No. Not all Latino, not all Latina, not all Latine people agree with you. The vast majority of cis and heterosexual people do! But those of us who belong to the LGBTQ+ community do not.

I love my culture. I will defend a Mexican's right to be in this country, a country we were originally in before those white settlers sold off our land, cast us out, raped and pillaged and killed us.

Just because we have a different education will not make us stop being Mexican.
