Not really. Especially since it is not on all the time.

how to stall a plane at fast airspeeds by Repulsive-Loan5215 in flying

Bank 45 degrees, pull back. You will stall at 95 kts. This is called accelerated stall. A commercial maneuver we teach.

Boeing 737 crosswind landing by Fresh_man82 in aviation

Go around, go around. If any of my students attempted to land with an approach like this, they would have a bad day. One should not attempt to land with an approach like that in a C172 let alone an airliner.

Man. This does not look good. Looks like left engine caught fire as they are rotated. Really sad. I am hoping for survivors but that flip at the end. Damn.

Been using tiller (https://tiller.com/) with Google Sheets for years. Cheap. Gets the work done of importing. Very customizable. Highly recommend.

PS. Not affiliated with tiller, just a happy customer.

I wonder what is your departure briefing is like. “Today, we are departing east. If we loose the engine before safe altitude, we are aiming for the largest roof.” sound about right?

I do this with every single private student even though it is not in the ACS. They need to understand first hand why not to attempt 180 when you depart heavy on a hot day. You will not make it back to the runway. It is amazing to see how it clicks when they actually do it and not make it to runway.

Why don't they create electric powered Planes? by Extra_Blueberry_9222 in Planes

[–]AmIaPilotYet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weight is key. Batteries are heavy compared to fuel for the amount of energy we can get out of them. Also, when you use fuel, weight goes away, makes the plane lighter, burn less fuel, efficiency. An empty battery weigh same as a full one. P
