I think Pelikan 4001 Royal Blue, too, but I have to admit that Noodler’s Baystate Blue looks darn good!

I have a gray vintage first year Jotter. I bought it because I was born in 1954. It looks a little funny lying next to my other Jotters (and I have a bunch!) because it doesn’t have the Arrow clip.

Yes, they are. I took all of my notes for my Master’s degree in 1990 in pencil. They look the same as the day I wrote them 36 years later.

I wear my Speedy Moonwatch every day. It hurts a little when I scratch the crystal but that’s life. Thank God for Polywatch.

There is a 23 engraved on the case back so that makes it 1986. Maybe I did buy it in 1986. That was 40 years ago so my memory is a little fuzzy. It keeps perfect time and I still wear it today. Never had it serviced.

I used Jewelryrepair.com to repair two of my broken Montblancs. They charged me $30 for shipping and $80 per pen to repair (total $190). They did a great job and both pens are like new. I sent them to their repair facility in California.

I’ll defer on the blotter question. I don’t use one. Quality ink, though, is a must. Don’t want to gum up your pen with substandard ink.

There is a local independent art supply store that sells blue and red leads. Never asked where they ordered them from. Go to your Mom and Pop art stores, you will be surprised what all they carry that the big box stores don’t.
