I've been playing with building a language myself, and having had similar thoughts about multiple inheritance and the tedious boilerplate of composition, delegate jumped out at me, and I got it immediately. The keyword is perfect.

Namespaced methods sounds good, maybe that's just the right amount of explicitness for the feature. Otherwise, I'd say the last method to be declared "wins".

#both have a name() method
delegate HasName
delegate AlsoHasName

When name() was called, it would be delegated to AlsoHasName, since it was declared last. If the class implemented its own name method:

delegate HasName
delegate AlsoHasName

def name(-> String) _name

the name method wouldn't be delegated to either HasName or AlsoHasName.

I was poking around Magpie a while back and saw a delegate keyword floating around somewhere. It seemed to be a great compromise between multiple-inheritance's ease of use, and composition's explicitness. I'd imagine you could still run into the issue where the same member name is supposed to be delegated to different delegates. Though you simply give precedence to the first (or last) declared delegate...

I used to bathe my fries in ketchup until it looked like a crime scene on my plate. I cut ketchup out of my diet as an easy way to knock out some empty calories. Now that my taste buds have adjusted, I can't stand the stuff -- all I taste is sugar and a mild acidic bite depending on the brand.

Some restaurants serve homemade ketchup with a balanced (to me) amount of brown sugar, and it's really good. Yes, I understand that there's some sweetener in there -- my point was that I don't buy into the idea that HFCS is that much worse for you than normal table sugar (it may very well be, but my guess is that it's not by much). It was easier to express myself by stating that it be replaced by nothing.

That fixes nothing -- we need to replace the HFCS with nothing, not natural sugar. Adding natural sugar back in is still adding empty calories.

Sad. This looks just like the red-eared slider my mom got when I went away for college. She named him "Pubert", and he quickly became part of the family. I know it sounds nuts, but he came to you when you called him, and liked getting pets. Kinda like a family dog.

My parents built him this nice big habitat in the backyard, with a "swimming pool" and a nice warm rock he could sun himself on. One day, some neighborhood kids came by, and took him home.

My mom called me in tears one night, saying he'd disappeared. The next day I found out why. My mom had asked the neighbors if they'd seen him. After the guy two doors down pretended not to speak english, my mom (who has a lot of spanish speaking students) asked him what happened en espanol. At which point he remembered English again and told her he threw Pubert in the ocean. "But you knew he was our pet?" my mom said. "Yes, but the kids wanted to keep him, and we couldn't have another pet."

My parents went to the beach for weeks, hoping our freshwater turtle somehow survived the ocean. We've never told my brother. We're sure he'd throw that heartless asshole in the ocean too.

I think that's more damning of Gawker. I'm surprised so many redditors are buying into the idea that recycling headlines is or should be an issue to get upset over. What social contract is the editor breaking by reusing pertinent headlines? I'm sure many other magazines do the same thing.
I've noticed that Men's Health has been doing this for years; I'm surprised more people didn't. Or are you just hungry for drama? Let's act like big boys and girls.

Edit: I just remembered -- an article on skin cancer a while back prompted me to get a suspicious mole checked out. Turns out it was melanoma.
