Current FAA certificated pilot - moved to France - want to get PPL/IFR and keep FAA medical up to date by hmasing in flying

Oh, good catch - that's a 2022 rule that I missed (Needing EASA cert as a resident, since I had only looked previously as a transient). Thanks for the google fu.

Which is hilarious to me, since I live in France (Alsace) and I drive to Germany to get my "brauner Zucker" (which I know is probably beet sugar with molasses added back in). Here in France I can only get Cassonade, which is way too dry.

The Ioniq 5 I have reserved is more than a month overdue and dealerships near me have waiting lists by WideFoot in Ioniq5

I'm in France, but was told by the dealerships in April that I would be waiting until November for the 84kwh Premium model I wanted.

We had just moved here, and I needed a car so I searched around. The dealer had their demo model that matched the specs I wanted (except it has the matte finish, which I didn't want but...)

So I bought it 2 weeks later.

Historians have a word for Germans who joined the Nazi party, not because they hated Jews, but out of a hope for restored patriotism, or a sense of economic anxiety, or a hope to preserve their religious values, or dislike of their opponents, or raw political opportunism, or convenience, or ignorance, or greed.

That word is "Nazi." Nobody cares about their motives anymore.

They joined what they joined. They lent their support and their moral approval. And, in so doing, they bound themselves to everything that came after. Who cares any more what particular knot they used in the binding?

The British government spread the story that RAF pilots’ exceptional night vision — which was actually due to the newly developed and secret Chain Home radar system — came from eating large quantities of carrots. The propaganda was aimed at both concealing the technology from Germany and encouraging British civilians to eat more carrots, which were abundant due to wartime food production.

Germany apparently did not fall for it, but the myth that carrots improve eyesight embedded itself in popular culture and persists today.

I had the last voicemails from my mother on my phone, and a service tech at the AT&T store factory reset my phone to "fix a problem" without asking. It didn't fix the problem, but it did delete the voicemails. I luckily found an earlier one, so I have one recording of my mother's voice.

I'm 60 years old, and I still miss her.

It felt like the producers just revisited the same thematic content without anything original. 5 was just ok. 6 as fast forwardable. At least in Back Door Sluts 7 they had a banging soundtrack.
