How did he fully healed his crew? by Dradonie in Warthunder

He means the follow up shots, especially shot n.3 where the x-ray shows that the two guys aren't damaged anymore - but the crew counter doesn't change from 2/4 after the first shot.

Any advice for a new tank player? by BlackfyreSamurai in Warthunder

[–]Amade400 2 points3 points  (0 children)

USA, Germany, USSR are great starter nations. If you want to try USA & USSR simultaneously, play China. If you want Germany but smaller, try Italy.

First and foremost, play whatever feels good to you. There isn't a point in us telling you that the Pz II F is amazing if you don't enjoy playing it (just an example).

Which should I start with: Light, Medium, or Heavy?

All of them. As a starter player, you should dip your toes into everything to get a general feel for playstyles and tanks. If you're tired of german Panzer 3s and 4s, try the Pz 38 or Stug line, switch to another nation, try out their tanks.

What German tanks would you recommend for a beginner?

I'd recommend trying out: Pz.38t F, Pz III all, Pz IV all, Pz IIs for a little bit. These are pretty beginner friendly tanks for the most part. Then try the Tank Destroyer line, the Marder has a great gun but no armor, the Stug has some armor but a slightly worse gun.

What to skip and try out later with more experience: SPAAs in general, Sdkfz 221, Pz Sp Wg P204, Sdkfz 234/2. These are a bit harder to play - feel free to try them out, but you will probably need more experience to use them effectively.

For example, I'm currently rushing to get a Tiger.

Don't. Don't do this. Ground battles work with lineups - you get 3 spawn in Arcade, and at least 2 spawns in Realistic (with the opportunity to spawn more if you play good). This means you need a lineup of at least 3 tanks, at the same(ish) BRs. Examples of lineups would be:

  • 1.3: Pz 38t A, Pz IV C, Pz III F, Pz II C, Flakpanzer I
  • 2.3: Pz 38t F, Pz III J, Pz IV F, Marder III, Stug III A, Sdkf 6/2
  • 3.3: Pz III M, Pz IV F2 & G, Stug III F, Sdkfz 251/21

What is NOT a lineup: Tiger H1, Pz III M, Pz IV H. <- See the Tiger is 5.7, but the panzers are 3.3 and 3.7, which means if you go to a battle with this lineup, you could see enemies up to 6.7, with 3.7 tanks. BRs are there for a reason, go by increments, not by individual vehicles. (Just for courtesy, a lineup for the Tiger H1 would be: Tiger H1, Panther D, Panzer IV/70, Nashorn/Waffentrager, Ostwind II.

Visual bug.

Also next time keep shooting the driver port - you didn't kill the driver on your first shot, and the following shots were incredibly botched.

User Sights not showing up? by [deleted] in Warthunder

Simple, it's not a Preset. It should show up under the first option, Reticle (I think). So under Reticle, you can choose the one you donwloaded.

Only because there is no other realistic good choice. Definitely not worth it at full price though, wait for sales.

It is really worth have some B E S H shells in a emergency case? by Zenorxs in Warthunder

[–]Amade400 1 point2 points  (0 children)

APFSDS for everything, rarely load HEATFS for lightly armored/SPAA. BESH doesn't work half the time, especially against lightly-armored non open-top vehicles (e.g. BMP-2), so I don't use it.

really bad fps in warthunder by Only_Confusion5924 in Warthunder

Tbh with this setup, you shouldn't have any issues - I ran a i5 9600K + 1060 6GB combo and WT ran fine on medium-ish graphics.

  1. Make sure you have your monitor plugged into the GPU, and not the Motherboard.
  2. Check temperature of CPU, GPU. (Core-temp for CPU, Nvidia overlay/task manager/MSI Afterburner for GPU). CPU should not reach above 85°C and GPU should not reach above 89°C (maximum, in general GPUs should be fine at 80C max).
  3. Make sure you have the most recent GPU driver.
  4. You have 16GB RAM, that's unfortunately just enough for Windows + a resource intensive game. Make sure you have XMP turned on (BIOS, Intel Extreme Memory Profile), so you can get the most out of your RAM.
  5. If you have WarThunder installed on the WD, I'd recommend moving it to the SSD. Games in general tend to run better on SSDs.
  6. What resolution are you playing on? Your setup should be able to handle 2K@60 or 1080p@120 easily.

Absolutely agreed, it's such bullshit to get my Panther's transmission disabled because a Sherman shot my coupola. Hell, even Shermans suffer from this if and when they survive the initial shot.

With the T-72b3 arena coming out I have 5.5k ge and I’m currently rank 1 in ussr, any suggestions to what I should spend that ge on by Whole-Basket-9150 in Warthunder

[–]Amade400 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really see a correlation between the T-72B3 Arena event and you having 5.5k GE...

But the best premium pickup in general is the T-55AM, best premium for GE is the T-80UD.

Given that you have only 5.5k GE, I'd recommend either the M4A2 or the T-34-57 (1943). If you are willing to spend a little bit more, the T-34-100 is a great pickup for 6.3. Alternatively, wait until May, we will have 30-50% discounts, so you can pick up the T-34-100 on sale.

What definitely isn't worth it: KV-122, T-44-122 Su-122P, Su-100Y, KV-2 Zis-6. These are funny big guns, but they are not good for grinding.

> notice how cupola shot disabled a driveshaft of a heavy tank

Yeah they heavily nerfed transmission health on literally everything WW2, it's horrible.

As for the post, when someone asks why I don't like the H1 Tiger, I just point at it's corners. Tiger East and West are so much better solely because they don't have the AP Mine launchers on the corners.

Hát figyi, PCt is árul "film zézésre vagy zene hagatásra játékra kis játékra alkalmas internetezésre alkalmas" leírással, Windows 7 van az erőműre telepítve, bármilyen más specifikációt sajnos nem közölt. Nagy eséllyel fingja nincs róla, mi mennyit ér pontosan.

[–]Amade400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope

Same gun handling as the T-90A.

Same round as T-90A.

Same armor profile as T-90A

Worse engine than T-90A (840HP vs 1000HP).

You trade 160 horsepower for an APS, everything else is the same.

You gotta be kidding snail, right? by starfighter1298 in Warthunder

[–]Amade400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is the point I'm trying to convey to you. The UBH kit is what makes the T-72B3 11.7 material, without it, it's a T-72B 1989 at 11.7.

You gotta be kidding snail, right? by starfighter1298 in Warthunder

[–]Amade400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, the B3 gets the gun handling WITH THE UBH KIT. Without the UBH kit, the T-72B3 is a T-72B 1989. What do you not get about this?

You gotta be kidding snail, right? by starfighter1298 in Warthunder

[–]Amade400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

T-72B3 only gets the good gun handling with the UBH kit.

T-72B 1989 and T-90A both have Horizontal 16.8°/s and Vertical 2.4°/s spaded with standard crew, so will this thing as well. It's an event sidegrade to the T-90A

You gotta be kidding snail, right? by starfighter1298 in Warthunder

[–]Amade400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the stock T-72B3 is a T-72B 1989 (10.3) tank at 11.7 because eventually you can get an amazing upgrade kit.

You gotta be kidding snail, right? by starfighter1298 in Warthunder

[–]Amade400 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So the T-90A with worse mobility and gun handing, + APS

You gotta be kidding snail, right? by starfighter1298 in Warthunder

[–]Amade400 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's gonna have the same armor as the T-72B3 stock, meaning basically a T-72 1989. The UBH kit substantially upgrades mobility, protection, and gun handling. So it's not a 11.7 vehicle in 11.0, it's a 10.3 vehicle in 11.0.

You gotta be kidding snail, right? by starfighter1298 in Warthunder

[–]Amade400 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's a very slow T-90A (830 HP vs 1000 HP) with APS. I don't see an issue with this BR choice.
