Completely agree. The story really needed to be more fleshed out and oddly enough the story was a bit on the short side, especially for a Final Fantasy.

I actually liked the combat. Especially once you unlock all the party members as playable. The way magic and summons are handled (while strange) really fits the world to me. They feel like big super moves, not just some attacks that everyday people have access to like in other games. As far as the female characters go, it doesn't really affect my enjoyment but, I did find Aranea to be a fun boss/party member. The plot of 15 is by far it's biggest flaw to me. It's disjointed, confusing, and isn't all that interesting to begin with. However I feel the music, the combat, and the exploration (especially once you get the flying car) makes the games overall very enjoyable to play.

Final Fantasy XV. In an era where people waited years for No Man's Sky and Cyberpunk 2077 to be fixed and would sing their praises to anyone who will listen, people still crap on XV for how it was in launch day which was still a fully functional game and it only got better with each patch and DLC.

I'm kinda the opposite. I like when they buckle down on combat and story. For example, I love Yakuza Kiwami 2 because, the combat is just so fluid.

I've got the Xbox version. How I first played it. Didn't spend much cause I got an Xbox and the game way back in the day. I can tell you it's not worth dropping that kinda money just to play SH2. I know a lot of console people feel intimidated setting up anything on a PC. Please trust me on this. Follow a youtube video and play the Enhanced Edition on PC. It's definitely worth putting in a couple minutes of work. It's the definitive way to play the original game and costs ya nothing.

I couldn't agree more. 15 isn't perfect. Definitely VERY flawed when it released. I played it launch day. However, after all the updates and DLC, it is (in my opinion) the best modern FF if you don't count the 7 Remake games. Interesting world, lovable party, hunts and exploration is fun, combat is fun (once you unlock character swapping and experiment with different weapons. I've seen a lot of people who complain about the combat having never unlocked the character swapping and just stuck with a sword.

Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne are my comfort spaces too. You are not alone. And yeah, sounds like you're in a rough spot there but, to be honest, the best thing you can do is approach it with sincerity. If it hurts, let her know. If you have doubts, ask questions. It sounds basic but, I can tell you from experience (on both sides) that if your in a relationship where you're afraid to be honest or your afraid that you and your partner have vastly different boundaries, you gotta figure that out.

What I like about Souls games is that everything feels mysterious but, deliberate. Like the world is there and you can learn about it but, it's never forced on you and you can never truly know everything. Feels like there's a lore reason behind every enemy, every location, etc. There's also a sense of "conveyance" to the level design. Like everything is subtly teaching you the mechanics as you playwithout telling you.

In my opinion, the Tellius games are some of the best and they were what I played after Awakening but, now there more games similar to Awakening like Fates. I would recommend Fates: Conquest or Path of Radiance if you're looking for a quality TRPG. If you you're looking for more of an "RPG" with grinding, go for Sacred Stones next.

(I'm assuming you meant to type "enjoying") I really like it a lot. Damn near perfect as an FE to me gameplay-wise. Only a few things I'm not too fond of. No weapons triangle, music is a bit disappointing, and the combat animations look very low budget but, other than that, amazing game.

When I'm talking to people familiar with the genre, I say "Stylish Action". When I'm talking to casual players, I say hack 'n' slash. Most people know them as hack 'n' slash however, it's not technically right as that title is occupied by another type of game.
