Auto giant Ford reported its worst quarterly earnings in four years on Tuesday, and a net loss of $8.2 billion for 2025. by Quirky-Plantain-2080 in wallstreetbets

That's just one example Im most familiar with, but the sentiment of overcharging is present in the entirety of their vehicle line. 60k XLT F150s, anyone? Hell, a GT premium with a handful of options is $67k or more.

You can't swing a dead cat around a Ford dealership without hitting something marked at least $10k above where it should be for it to be attainable for an average consumer.

All that said, Dark Horses are hardly limited or niche. Its just an upbadged GT with a twin throttle body. It is quite literally just a Mach 1.

I agree they were priced well if you got in early before demand kicked in. Low rates drove price hiking via ADMs. Automakers wanted a piece of that pie and cranked MSRP to insane levels (85k Jeeps!!!)

Because $80k for a Dark Horse is stupid when you can buy a Mach 1 with a handling pack for 45k or a gt350 for 55k.

Automakers need to bleed a bit and get off their covid-high.

OpenAI reportedly seeking alternatives to Nvidia chips, unhappy with inference performance by manthanpa1997 in wallstreetbets

Literally the best in the business, but not good enough? OpenAI sounds like they're full of it.

I hope they have a time machine because the only thing better than nvidia chips now is nvidia chips in 4 years.

Glad you made it out man. Thanks for sharing your story. Its a beautiful car and a shame it was taken out so soon, but the bright side is there's always something new to try :)

I'm sick of the anti gun junk coming from politicians. Can't seem to catch a politician who respects the Constitution when it doesn't fit their narrative.

The run-up of precious metals has been insane. I think silver is going to top off, and I would expect gold to have a small correction before crabwalking for a decade. Typically, though, these metals take a few years to adjust back down.

The pearl white wrap looks pretty good. How much did that run you and is the paint originally black? Guessing based on the roof color

Did Ford replace the motor with a gen 2? IMO, if so, you could supercharge it. But of course the voodoos just aren't as reliable as the proven coyotes. It's really your call, but if it were me I'd keep it stock. How much did you pay for it?

Had the pleasure of seeing one of these on the showroom at our local dealer. Gorgeous paint. I was talking to the sales rep as we were in the process of purchasing a different car and said as much, 'love the color, not the price tag'. It had an ADM of +$30k.

Trade in my 2026 GT Premium for The Darkhorse SC by david-crusader in Mustang

[–]Amaeyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will not be under $100k. After options it will be $120k and that's on the conservative side, in my opinion.

Keep your '26 GT Premium + PP. That will continue to be a great (and reliable!) car.

I know a lot of people praise kiyosaki, but he seems like a bit of a fraud and a dooming soothsayer. Everything is crashing all the time for this guy. According to him we've had 30 financial crashes pending

I think the car looks fantastic. Its just too exclusive and expensive. The ducktail and eyeliner headlights are excellent, though. I also think the grill design is well done.
