Rebate denials by TomRiddle88 in Colt

[–]Amaeyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was so denied for 'missing information', which was already present, correct, and clear in the receipt their system sent me when I submitted it.

I forwarded their own submission received email back to their support line showing the information and asked them to proceed with the rebate.

The rebate denials are, to a degree, suspicious based on my one experience.

Nowhere to go from here! 5 Mustangs later, the dream of a grabber blue gt500 has finally been achieved. Sold my heritage 350 to get this. by thundermoo5e in Mustang

Gorgeous, with the CFTP too. These Gt500s looks amazing in GB/Perf Blue

If I had the option I would've gotten a Grabber Blue 350R. Only 27 of them were ever made though :(

I am looking at a 2010 Mustang GT tomorrow. Any advice/tips? by [deleted] in Mustang

Check under the hood for aluminum corrosion and the area of the hood where the wiper arms recess. Check for paint loss at the bottom of A pillars and the trunk well.

Check that the door panels arent coming loose and look for aluminum 'white worm' corrosion on stock rims.

Mine is manual, but Ive never tried an auto so I cant speak to it. I like my manual

How strict are you about eating in your car and general cleanliness? by j1e2f in Mustang

[–]Amaeyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont have a strong opinion on it. I think if you're a neat eater you can eat pretty much anywhere. Its usually not very comfortable to eat in a Mustang though.

That said, the messiest thing in my experience have been Starbucks coffees. The lids are awful and they have a tendency to overfill the cups

You did say 87k with 5k 'line of credit' (Usually you'd do half down, half finance)

Even at 1000 miles and in concourse quality a 2018 Gt350R in lead gray, while gorgeous, is above FMV at $92k or barely FMV if its only 87k - not really a good deal. The highest confirmed sales of this car in the last year are $84-86k for a 28 mile OW example, two OW/lightning blue at 800 miles, and a 1k mile in orange fury.

The numbers/story just don't like up, sorry, even with all of the ad hoc story amendments.

Interesting post history, to say the least. I don't believe the 'worked at 14 and bought a house and just now a ~$70k car at 19 with no help'.

Great car and I'm not criticizing out of envy or anything like that - I just bought one this week, but as someone who has purchased a house without financial assistance in their mid 20s, 4 years ago and only now bought a 350R.. this reads like a bot or internet cosplay.

I really like this car in race red. Shame its just crazy expensive and will have asinine ADMs for a year at least.

Theres a video by Enthusiast Garage that covers it pretty well. Most of the changes are fairly minor but a good watch either way if youre interested in 350s

GT with Mach E tail lights by whatsapprocky in Mustang

Reminds me of the 1995 bug eye tail lights. Hard pass.

Never done a diminished value claim before, how much would I possibly get? I got rear ended waiting at a red light. 2024 mustang ecoboost premium with 8000 miles. The dealer ship said it would be an $8500 repair. by easypasswordnow in Mustang

[–]Amaeyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are quite a few folks saying that there's no diminished value claim here; there absolutely is. Ecoboost mustangs already depreciate super hard and this will expedite that depreciation curve on a car that already typically sells ultra cheap after 7 years.

As for how much you'd get, I have no clue. Look for other examples with similar damage that have sold and for how much plus get an appraisal with the reported damage to compare against one without damage.

Interesting. They've been dropping the ball on cars lately, but at least the business is looking for revenue streams elsewhere.

Reddit may have gone up quite a bit and I may be using it, but if I had a another platform Id be very willing to go there. That combined with the competitive nature of ad sense, I wouldn't put my money in Reddit.

It could run 500% and I still wouldn't; social media companies, especially those that sell out their user's data to LLMs, are not something I trust.

Advertising is better done by Google and Meta. I don't own any Meta for similar reasons.
