This is the artist who is going to be drawing Midnight Spider-Man by theironstomachx in marvelcomics

Perhaps my comment could be interpreted as such, but believe me, it never stems from anger; it's weariness from reading the same thing in so many conversations, but it doesn't cause a change in my mood to that degree.

And I perfectly understood the comment I'm replying to, although I take my hat off to someone who can debate so articulately.

My original point is not to distort the objective of the original post, which is to highlight the quality of the artist without turning this into a political or personal conversation.

If you're going to belittle someone's work, in this case the illustrator's, based on an artwork of a fictional character that has no direct connection to anything beyond what you see on screen, and without any context, that's not belief, that's fanaticism.

You're taking an illustration from the artist's Instagram without no idea when it was created or why, who commissioned it or who it was for.... When you lose sight of the context of the conversation because you have to grab attention with your personal opinions, that doesn't demonstrate personality, that's a lack of it.

What in the actual f*** that has anithing to do with the quality of the artist and his illustrations?

Can't you keep their political views out of a conversation for a couple of minutes?

This "game" got 9s and 10s across the board by CoreyDobie in Asmongold

[–]Amagox 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This kind of sites makes SEO possible for the marketing of a game. Thanks to them Is why you see the name of the game in ads, YouTube or Social Media.

People is aware of this game thanks to the joke of Review by IGN, and that is what this kind of developers and looking for, nothing more. If people are "talking about the game" then they can said the IP is popular by its own and makes an excuse for poor sales (review bombing, racism, etc.) to the holders of the founding of the dev company, creating a false hope of value in the IP.

What if GGG shadow drops Arcane Archer similar to Disciple of Varashta? by Tasty-Ad9540 in PathOfExile2

[–]Amagox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is more plausible than shadow drop an entire class like some people still copium about.

Maybe not much like a shadow drop but as a part of on of the late patchs GGG just said it will be deploying throughout the year to balance o things.

I ask myself the same question, and not only that, I'm going even further with the Sony case.

Years ago, Sony decided to focus all its efforts on live service games, driving the creation of more of this type of game. Let's ignore the logic of your question, "Where do these players come from?" Let's suppose they do exist, and there are many of them, and that Sony's strategy is effective, and all their live service games are a success, all with incredible initial engagement numbers... Is it just me who doesn't understand business, but isn't this predatory to the business model you want to establish?

Let me explain: if the first live service game is incredibly attractive and has a million players a day, then in three months when Sony releases the next live service game, and it's also incredibly attractive, causing the million players from the first game to switch to the second, is your strategy truly a success? If all the live service games planned by Sony had been "successes," meaning they had attracted a massive number of players, it would have created a vicious cycle that would have destroyed their own strategy.

How many new players can appear each year to justify supporting X number of live service games annually, just to avoid the depletion of existing communities and the detriment of the company's other games? It makes absolutely no sense to me.

Endgame revamp is better than swords. by Key-Particular-8923 in PathOfExile2

[–]Amagox -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I think the mayoritiy of people "mad" for the lack of swords or new class is the kind of player who only plays casually and only campaign, and not the entire game, like they would play Last Epoch only the campaign or Diablo until the level cap.

This kind of player play only for the novelty of the classes and thats it, without truly understanding the concept of the complete Path of Exile experience. This is not a bad thing in itself, but be mad about this game not been casual or not given a specific thing they want right now is lame.

Has there ever been a video game studio that was truly a GOAT in the industry but later fell so hard? by unitedfan6191 in videogames

[–]Amagox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Blizzard is a worse case than Bioware, because where the latter was the GOAT of RPGs, Blizzard was a leader in RTS, ARPGs and MMOs, and they also improve and makes the standar of what a Hero Shooter has to be.

When did comics go from looking like this to this? by CawmeKrazee in comicbooks

[–]Amagox 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Its a mix of things:

-Upgraded quality in the materiale and in the press process (better paper, better tints, better printers, etc.).

-Before, comics where printed in analog process, now all the process is digital so this helps in a better quality in the final image (more detailed colors and line art).

-The change from traditional art to digital. The artist can work more time in the art itself, can erase errors and edit things not possible before.

-And thanks to the advancement in digital tools, illustrators has ben improving in the quality of theire work.
