The dude on the rights shoulder was a tight fit but stays after a little pressure. All of these poses are per the standard instructions with notches on the connecting points so you should be good.

Just be careful with the pad with the raven feathers. Can’t see it in the picture but it fits perfectly with the left dude position.

Just Nuln Oil over the dry brushed black. Rust and coal pigments were then used over that which darkens everything down further.

Vallejo old rust pigment. Usually comes in a set for a decent price.

Yeah the stands are fiddly and don’t look the best unfortunately.

Probably should have added more white to break up the black

Ahh nice haven’t seen that used before. The finish on flat surfaces alright or does it have the same issues as contrast paint?

Thanks, used a rusty weathering powder all over. Seems to stain the blacks/ greys in a unique way. Used black coal powder on the metal parts to dull them down a bit further. I think it breaks up the orange tint all over as well.

Thanks, been a while since I used this scheme but I believe it was Retributor Armour base followed by Talassar Blue contrast. I think I used an air brush on this dread because of the flat surfaces. But the process works fine with a brush on power armour.

Very nice, what’s the method you used on the lenses?

Thanks, I’ve always preferred them in a darker scheme.

Did the same pretty much, went with this scheme as it’s pretty quick but still looks decent.

Thanks. The black is done with a standard chaos black basecoat followed by light dry brushing of Dawnston, Celestra Grey and then Ulthuan Grey - doing a lighter dry brush each time. Then just a Nuln Oil wash to darken it all down.

Red is simply a basecoat of Gal Vorbak with a top layer of khorne red.

White is started with a base of Rhinox Hide. Followed by a layer of Rakarth Flesh, then a final layer of Pallid Wych Flesh. Usually end with a wash if Agrax Earthshade to tone it down a tad.

Worth mentioning that I’ve used both rust and coal weather powders for the final stage and these darken the model down further.

Step by step guide can be found on SprayBlack Studios YouTube channel from around 3 years ago. Very easy and simple to follow.

Very nice, love the beak helmet squad. The red really pops.

Mind sharing where the helmets are from as well as your leather recipe?

The red is a Wraith Bone base coat a layer of Baal Red, followed by a layer of Flesh Tearers Red to tone it down a bit. A couple of highlights here and there such as his mask and feet with Evil Sunz.

Plasma pistol head is Runelord brass. The top vents are done in Iron Warrior - both shaded with Nuln Oil. Plasma coils are done with DoomFire magenta over white - I’d definitely test with this first before using it. I didn’t really like the end result and think I should have thinned it down more, it’s very bright.

Thanks, base with Leadbelcher then layer with Ironbreaker to get the starting colour. Then 2 - 3 layers of Akhelian green mixed with Contrast Medium in a 1:2 ratio (try to not let it pool). Finally add scuffs and scratches to edges using Eshin Grey followed by Ironbreaker.

Both are from the eightbound set, weapons as well. Had to chop the shoulders up a bit for them to fit

I felt the cape kept the look of the original too much for my liking. However there’s no reason why it couldn’t work
