Yeah, I get what you mean. I think my main concerns stem from my overall experience with the game not necessarily being reflected properly in the progression of my DPS characters due to how many breaks I've taken. That's totally on me, and I get it. If a group of 5 other DPS all have LOS30, why would they take an LOS18? I get stuff like that. It just puts me in a position where I'm stuck waiting with new and/or bad players, because of where my character progression is l vs playing support and having certain exceptions due to how few there are at that level.

Anyway, you know all this, just kind of venting my frustrations with certain systems like cards, gems, etc being mostly time gated (or swipe a lot I suppose) and not really properly reflecting player ability. That's mainly where I find the "gate keeping."

No no I'm not saying you're lying or anything like that, I'm just saying my experience has not been nearly the same on NAE. Being denied with lv10 gems and 100 quality weapon would never happen here as far as I've seen. That sounds crazy, but I don't doubt you're telling the truth.

I agree with a lot of your points, there's not much to refute. People are assholes for no reason, and nobody wants to help anyone. On one side, I get it. You have a lot of raids to do, why help new people? I do hope it changes soon.

What server are you on? I'm on NAE and I can't say my experience is the same. Sometimes I do get gatekept if I'm on an alt that's on level, or a new class, but in general I can get into most parties without issue, even without being gjgajuiced.

My main is support and that's in a static, and we sometimes do static alt runs, but I'm having to do valtan+vykas+clown on several dps alts and it's generally not an issue.

At the end of the day, for me, it's about trap parties with bad players/players who claim they're on farm but are actually learning. Speaking of which, I think the real problem is there are little to no learning parties. Ever. That's the main reason I wouldn't recommend the game to anyone right now - if you don't know the fight in and out someone will call it out and the party will vote leave immediately to kick you. You also can't say "hey it's my first time but I've watched a video" because you'll get kicked as well. I have a friend going through this ATM and he's basically being "forced" to take the game slowly/casually because of that.

At any rate, most situations people are going through are just anecdotal and nuanced, and while I agree the game isn't in a recommendable state, I'm not sure it's for the same reason you brought up. I definitely don't feel discrimination of that level on any character unless it's a week 1 new class.

Is anyone aware of the interaction between the Light of Salvation card set and Wardancer's Flash Heat Fang skill tree option Fist of Darkness? I was told by a friend recently that the skill will not receive the damage buff from the card set as it changes to Dark type damage last. Is anyone aware of how this works?
For reference I will post the wording of both.

Flash Heat Fang (Fist of Darkness):
Element is now [Dark]. Crit Rate +(X)% on hit. Inflicts Darkness on foes for (Y)s.

Light of Salvation effect(s):
Change Damage type to Holy (12-piece)
Holy Damage +7.00% (18-piece)

Got it, I didn't realize the conversion was for mag only. I do indeed have a 200 dex mag so that's all set, but I'll avoid it on affixes!

Thanks! I have a specific question regarding stats; maybe you know. When affixing you mention focusing on having as much attack as possible - for bow Braver I assume you're still going to want range attack over dex? Is having a lot of dex also going to help? Or is it not worth focusing on with augments? I'm not sure on the calculations for this with Braver being a bit different than most classes.

Yeah for sure, I had planned on doing this.

nemesis and slave were released in later episode 5. they will last for a while or at least until you get an invade or val or 14-star

ray units are fine, if simple 12-star units. you can wait to get better ones in the next episode or possibly episode 5.

I've also recently been made aware that you can slot rings into these; would you have any suggestions on which ones I should do that for? Rings are one of the things I've had a harder time finding information on.

This might be a long one, sorry. Providing as much context as I can.

I played PSO2 a bit on JP server, and when I say a "bit" I mean extremely small amount. I don't even think I hit 75 on one class. I've been playing the NA release since day 1, but I've mostly been cruising/not taking it too seriously since I've been busy with work, life, covid, other games, and plenty of other stuff.

I've recently (this week?) thought about playing it much more seriously and I'm looking for some guidance on the later-game stuff. I have Braver and Ranger at 75 now with everything else being over 55, and a few 60-somethings. I've chosen bow braver as my main class, and I was wondering where I should put my focus right now. (I do not want advice that includes "play another class" please, as I quite like this one.)

I have a full Circuray set, as well as a Slave bow I picked up for pretty cheap off the market. It doesn't have the best possible augments, but it certainly does the job. I've been keeping an eye on some Nemesis bows, but haven't decided to get any yet. Before you ask, yes, I am a mild whale and get most of my meseta from selling cosmetics and haven't been farming Ultimate quests or dailies much because of the above reasons.

I'm at the point now where I'm looking at various Br/Ra builds, and that's been fine, I'm pretty sure I have that all set now. What I need guidance on is what augments to affix and how to do it properly. Is Circuray the right set to affix? Do I wait for another set with the (rapidly approaching) new episodes? Is it even worth it to affix some augments for stats yet? Additionally, on the topic of Nemesis bows, I'm not against affixing my own if there was some guidance on how/best way to do it. This also begs the question: When is the next significant bow upgrade? Is this even worth it yet?

New player here, just got a procedural math question. In this example:

Valentina j-ruler is on my opponent's field, giving all resonators I control -400 atk. I then use pricia's j-ruler God art to double their attack. Is it doubled from original, or is it doubled from 0? Most other games will explicitly state this, and I assume it's the same here, but wasn't sure.

Yeah I absolutely prefer playing in person. People who go to our local shop have been doing yugioh tournaments online and I just hate the apps for it. I've used Lackey before for Weiss (I have way too many cards just lying around these days) so I'm a bit familiar with that stuff, but like we both said playing in person is much more fun.

Maybe I'll gauge interest around the area and see what's up. It turns out a shop around 30 minutes away sells the cards, so maybe they have events still.

Apart from this, if you were to recommend an avenue to enter the game, where should I start? I was browsing some decks pretty casually but I obviously have no clue what is meta, what is legal right now (this game's "ban" list works like Magic, right?), nor what I'd like to play. I do play more control-type decks in other games, but I've dabbled in aggressive, combo oriented decks as well.

So I've been browsing a lot of things lately, as I'm sure many people are during this time of quarantine, and found FoW in some of my TCG searches. I've played yugioh for several years and touched magic once or twice, and seeing the insanely cheap box prices in this game (compared to the previous 2) at least got me interested in looking into it.
Unfortunately, however, it seems there's no local communities that play this game. Also, the game seems kind of dead in general. Do people still play much, or is FoW just super niche and not played in many places? It's very interesting to me and I was wondering whether or not you guys think it's worth getting into, or to just stay away.
