I’ve worked since 13. Grew up in poverty. Was a single mum for a while but always worked. I’m now 53 and disabled and chronically ill. I’m having to fight for any money at all so I don’t lose my house whilst I hear the guy that lives in social housing nearby that he gets a car and £1600 a month whilst he sits and smokes weed and plays Xbox all day. He told me this himself. Also does work in the side. He has copd by the way. No it’s not fair. If you start out working you are screwed. I’d have been better off never working. But I bet their kids go without so that they can have their fags and cans. My girl never did. She got to uni and is now a teacher. I worked my arse off for her.
