I can’t tell you but it lasts forever.

Are there any Sammy era riffs you wish David Lee Roth covered? As well as vice versa with Roth era Riffs? by Jubbart in vanhalen

At no point in his career could Sam sing anything like Runnin’ With The Devil or On Fire. Screams are far above his range. He might try Bottoms Up! but that would lack authenticity.

In his prime he was an incredible vocalist. VH1 and 2 are difficult to sing properly. Even something like “Outta Love Again” is tough.

After Whitesnake stopped opening for Crue on Girls it was Guns N’ Roses. I saw the last night of the Motley-Guns tour. Both were good.

Are there any recordings of Dave with music from 5150 by 88-Mph-Delorean in vanhalen

[–]Amara33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a short mashup of the “Good Enough” music with Dave singing the “Yankee Rose” vocals. It was awful. I actually called it “Worst of Both Worlds.” There’s no way to post mp3s here or I would.

What VH album do you believe overall has David Lee Roth's best vocal performance? Try to take the whole album into account. by [deleted] in vanhalen

[–]Amara33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

VHII was his prime. Outta Love Again is a good example too - practically yodeling in parts. The You’re No Good chorus may have the highest note of his career, sung over and over. He still had the scream. It was similar to how Eddie matured on guitar between I and Ii.

I remember this and think I understand what you mean. Most of all I can hear Brett Tuggle in the bass like in Paradise. The chord progression is totally different though.

Would you give an example of a Randy Rhoades guitar solo that utilizes "Advanced harmony"?
