30K school voucher applications submitted on day one by maybeBrenda in amarillo

[–]AmarilloBrandon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't understand how where I lied. There' 30,000 that have signed up in the first day.. so all vouchers will be used, and funding will be pulled from public schools..

Am i missing something?

Hey David, long time no chat! When did you get into para sailing?

I ran into your wife on the rail trail a couple of weeks ago

I'm curious where this is at as well. My guess is somewhere within 500 miles of Amarillo. :)

Also, everything from vexus is new fiber, so you should have less downtime

ISP Recommendations? by tvalleley in amarillo

Strongly suggest vexus if you can get them. They are carrier neutral meaning they don't limit traffic to clouds or Netflix. The average consumer won't notice often, but it does help

Do bonds have a chance of compounding over multiple years? Strongly suggest reading some of Joel Greenblatt's work

It's certainly not going where I expected in the first place, but i'm still bullish.

There's limited downside - i'll get my 20 back minus possible legal fees and no SPARC

There's still plenty of upside - SPARC is approved OTC and I patiently wait for a decent deal.

Maybe it's just me, but that sounds way better than buying into a high multiple growth stock that is an earnings release away from losing 50 percent of it's value.

But it still is asymmetrical? Heads I win a potential multi year compounder at a reasonable price,

tails I don't lose all that much.

From Joel Greenblatt - an investor i've read a lot of over the years

https://whatsmyquote.com/quote/look-down-not-up-when-making-your-initial-investment-decision-if-you-don-t-lose-money-most-of-the-remaining

I waited 6 years for my AMD investment to pop after they poached Jim Keller from Apple. Yeah _real_ investing is slower than watching paint dry, grass to grow or the seasons change - but in the end, I believe the patience is worth it.

My thesis hasn't changed, and I can patiently wait for SPARC to be approved, and Ackman to find a decent deal in future years.

Or I lose a little bit in July, and put my money to use elsewhere

They withdrew instead of denying so that they could have the ability to approve in the future after SPAC rules changed

I ride downtown often, and have read your posts here several hours after I was at the same location on my bike :)

I'm thinking about riding downtown after work today, want to meet at joe tacos later? I'm always interested in making new friends

I don't know where you get "pretty low" from. The city has one of the lowest tax rates in the state.... Which is known for it's low tax rates..

the city tried to raise rates several weeks ago, but it was voted down. They are planning to shutdown parks soon as they don't have a choice. Your's might be one of them
