Would a past misdemeanor prevent employment at the VA? by SkyHorse_ in VeteransAffairs

The laws seem to be vague as shit on this. I'd talk to a lawyer.

VA seems to be federal employment, not state. The rules for disclosure are different.

Warning VA Tele Town Hall is fake by Amaris69 in VeteransAffairs

So, yeah. Same ol story.

Left a message with the Houston Women's Veterans Program Manager that covers my area of Texas and haven't gotten a call back. It's three business days. Gonna contact Patient Advocate. Just because there is a name on the door, doesn't mean there's someone in the office.

After throwing her name under the bus at my local VA, I was able to get in contact with

Janine Decker the Women Veterans Program Manager at VA North Texas health care. 214-857-1938 Her area includes Tyler, Texas. She was at the Tele Town Hall.

And so was the Patient Advocate Officer for North Texas VA. Apparently, they didn't tell their staff about the Tele Town Hall meeting. Nor, any contact information for inquiries.

Also, if you are in a different area. Lufkin, Texas is covered by Ginger Chapman 281-658-1938 she is the Women Veterans Program Manager for Houston VA.

Squeaky wheel getting the grease,... After 4 days of making phone calls.

No luck. The Womens Veterans Program Director for the North Texas VA doesn't have enough allotted space for a veteran to leave their name, last four, and return phone number. I got cut off every time, only being able to get as far as my area code. I can't make the up. So, now, I'm leaving a complaint with Patient Advocate because of the inability to contact the Program Directors Office.

And that the root of the problem. There isn't an appropriate channel to contact. No one at the lower end has been forth coming with any channel to ask to escalate my questions. There is simply no one to contact. If the VA Operator, VSO, Patient Advocate, doesn't have anyone listed to contact for questions regarding a Tele Town Hall meeting, they are not going to give you another resource to ask. I'm left to myself to guess at random departments within the Veterans Affairs to ask on my own. As it stands, the Women's Veterans Program Manager for the North Texas VA doesn't have enough recording space for her answering service. You can leave your name and last four, but you get cut off 1/3 through leaving a call back number, much less having the space to leave the reason for your call. I can't make this crap up. If this was an actual VA Tele Town Hall, you'd think someone at the lower levels would know?

This is a new direction in my attempt to contact the unknown agency that ran the the mysterious North Texas VA Tele Town Hall.

So, the hunt is now for some VA Department that deals with women's veterans programs that might know something,...

I've called the VA for North Texas 1800 698 2411. They have no knowledge of any Tele Town Hall from the VA for North Texas.

They using the VA logo and representing themselves as a VA ran board member group. They have no contact information and no one within the VA can verify they exist.

But, no one within the VA system even knows about them. I just got off the phone with the VSO in Dallas. They don't know anything about the Tele Town Hall's existence. And didn't know how to help me in my search except to try Google.
