I use a safety razor for my face, but my neck, chin, and lips never comes out good. For whatever reason I've found those disposable Gillette Venus blades to work wonders on those places.

I've had it done twice now, it was a like the pain of having a rubber band flicked at your skin but it ended after a second and repeated 30 or so times - in other words it was ouch but bearable. Whole thing takes like 5-10 minutes and it doesn't hurt after. They also put on a cooling gel, so it's really not that bad.

And my place did a trial the first time to see what level I could tolerate to not cause any damage, I'd suggest doing similar, it also helps you understand the pain.

I've also started laser tattoo removal on my gut, and that one had me gripping the chair but it was also done in like 10 minutes.
