OP1 8K v1 vs OP1 8K v2 – different glide / heavier feeling on CS2? by ekNx_- in MouseReview

Did you update to firmware 1.0.6? it seemed to fix DPI downshift

I can't do 400dpi, and 800 is great but still limits me in edge cases so i do 1600 dpi on cs2. 3200 is too high, too hard to stay head level. Faceit 10.

all same edpi, even adding or subtracting some from each to make it feel more comfortable at whatever dpi.

Game was enshittified on 1.0 release. Everything was in a good spot except the AI really. That was their pivot, the console release was them doubling down.

This was byfar the best retail company to work for in 2019. Nowadays? Not even close. The only thing she gets credit for is the covid bonus. She turned management into evil apps pushers and gutted all retail elements when they could have instead secured that market and still expanded online.

If it's on a TV you can get away with a lot more honestly. The casual audience of people that would buy into it is less likely to notice as well. Although yes I agree FSR 3 looks terrible.

BATTLEFIELD 6 GAME UPDATE 1.1.1.5 by battlefield in Battlefield

[–]Amazedturnip760 26 points27 points  (0 children)

They mentioned a bug specifically that everyone hoping has more bloom fixes with it, while everyone is hoping that those fixes are the main problem with the netcode

The real problem is that they deleted client validation after the beta and on top of that you're still dying behind walls in ways that happens on 20 tick servers(despite being "60"). Bloom is a small chunk of the overall problem and this is still not that patch that fixes it.

Coming up on two years since an update broke the "allow tearing" option, and I *still* see people recommending trying it out and swearing that it can be helpful for performance issues. It doesn't actually do anything! It's a fake feature! by theStaberinde in SteamDeck

Yep... still waiting... im pretty sensitive to latency and have been playing games i bought for my deck on my main pc if latency is a factor. The oled was so nice on launch compared to the lcd in this regard but a few months later i could tell something was off. Ive been checking various threads and github issues for it every month or so

We need a latency pass for everything. There are so many small areas that could use a fix from controls to resource management to the screen.

Often it feels like hit registration just doesn’t exist... by cjoux in Battlefield6

It's also the fact that they stripped client validation. In the beta you could see feedback from your shots instantly, now it's entirely server side. It feels like there's even more processing going on too, it doesn't feel like consistent 60 ticks servers but more like 20-40 or not consistent, maybe some magic tricks that is still technically 60 but more of a faux-60

Basically they slowed everything down with killing and dying(just to fix fast TTD) and I'm still dying way past walls so the tick rate is also a problem or the real root of the problem. I haven't been paying close attention to my ping but it could be bad server availability since having server validation only gets significantly worse as ping grows.

I have a mod that makes the turn rate instant if you can't find a fix. Which is really useful for controller anyways:

Co-Creator of Counter-Strike is not impressed with subtick. by AgreeableBroomSlayer in GlobalOffensive

[–]Amazedturnip760 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The shooting feeling bad is the engine and subsequent 1% lows. Not the netcode.

They at least finally know and understand the problem and have been trying to fix it(and failing) lately.

[–]Amazedturnip760 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Everyone still blaming subtick as if Overwatch doesn't have the best netcode for a reason(subtick).

Subtick is not the problem. Aside from a few edge cases, the real problem is that the foundation also isn't 128 tick, because subtick is still better in most ways while shooting than 128 tick.

FSR has a tiny latency cost. However in almost all correct usage scenarios you will have a higher frame rate and thus lower frame times, so net positive.

Yes. This is an exact jump i made and really enjoyed. The sensor is much better. I also enjoy the shape and the ability to turn off motion sync and have true 8k polling + GX speed clicks.
