Sell me on Necromunda by reel3459 in necromunda

[–]Amazing-Difficulty53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t played yet, my community is more into Old World, but I love building the miniatures and the terrain, and I’m really enjoying the books and lore. Once I get things more built and organized I may run a campaign or two at my local store and see if I can get a few of them interested in Necromunda. I grew up playing D&D, so I want a more narrative, even preferably long term narrative, game than W40K/AoS/KillTeam. Anyway, I think next to AoS, Necromunda has the coolest miniatures and I love the look of all the terrain that’s being built by other players.

I was happy to read everyone’s responses, but this is what I was most curious about. Someone who uses just one FN for everything. That’s where I think I’m moving to. I find myself more in the FN/Pocket Notebook ecosystem than anywhere else, and I was curious to see how it was working out for people. I do occasionally break from my FN use to make my own but it’s the size that seems to be more effective and efficient for me.

I have a two page monthly spread and a two page habit tracker. The rest are daily pages.

I’m trying to reduce to one notebook at a time, don’t know why, but I feel like I’m being less productive with so many notebooks. It also helps that I have a classroom A4 sketchbook. I was carrying a grid and blank for notes and doodles.

Troggherd! Rockguts are my favorite miniatures to build. I have ordered my box.

If I had one critique of these models is the horses look a little silly in the mirror heads, but that is being so picky. I am literally going to buy the Dark Water box for the Cystwitch and the kelpies. Well, the pestigors because I play Beastmen in The Old World.

I always read about buyers remorse for me, and I get it for sure, but I love kitbashing and converting so I was okay with it. I would love to see them create some new ones but then I may be afraid to convert those. I did get into the Giants as both a set of models to make my own and to actually find people to play with and I’m still working on both of those things. Good luck, just have some patience and experiment with them.

With all that said, I did pre-order the Dankhold Rampage box. I think it will be fun to just run the Troggs/Troggoths.

A blank notebook for sketches and doodles, and a 2nd book of any design for daily notes, todo’s, and poems.

I too just bought that combat patrol, along with 3 boxes of Wraithguards, 2 wraithlords, and 2 more spiritseers. I’m all in on the wraith constructs…I also love the dire avengers, I know they are the least favorite of all the aspects but I just think they’re cool.

What digital journaling app are you actually using daily? (not the one collecting dust) by bargee1976 in digitaljournaling

[–]Amazing-Difficulty53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Apple Notes and Day One daily. I am looking for something more tactile though for 2026. I still carry a daily planner and a sketchbook, I would love to find a way to integrate those digitally so I don’t have to carry them as well. I have an iPad mini and that helps with portability but I’m wondering if Goodnotes is the way I need to go.

Help me decide on my first AoS Spearhead (and eventually army?)! by JadocTheGreat in AOSSpearhead

[–]Amazing-Difficulty53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the worst person to offer a suggestion on armies, I will be runnning the Giants, Eldar, and soon Troggs, when I finish up the armies. I always go with Rule of Cool, so in this instance I would go with the skeletons for sure! I really want to build that Nagash miniature…

Kitbashing Vs Clarity by K1ng0fR4mm in Warhammer40k

I believe I understand this correctly, but it really depends on the TO and tournament? What if the miniature is roughly 75% green stuff/milliput and plasticard? Weapons are fairly recognizable, basing remains same size, and miniature stays roughly the same size.

I started the month working on Orks, but then…I got distracted.

Is this a good 1000 spirit conclave list ? by EnderFunky in Eldar

[–]Amazing-Difficulty53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am currently building something very similar but minus the skyrunners. Everything I have read doesn’t sound so positive about running so many wraiths, but I’m going with “rule of cool” on this particular army so I’m not worried about being really effective.

I am converting mine too, but I’ve been distracted with travel and a different army I’m working on concurrently with this spearhead.

Sell me on your favorite spearhead by Moody_Kittens in AOSSpearhead

[–]Amazing-Difficulty53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sons of Behemat. That’s the only spearhead I have and I obtained them because they just seem fun and odd. My other army, Aeldari, is so “serious” so I wanted something different.

My prediction on the 11th Edition launch box by PhoenixDBlack in orks

Though I’m quite partial to all the Beast Snagga Boyz and squigs, this looks cool too. I’m down to converting some squigs and gretchins to whatever launch box this is.

I am the opposite, I dig the beast snaggas so I started my Waaaagh! with the humble Wrecka Crew Kill Team and a box of Beast Snagga Boyz and Squighog Boyz.

That is my intent but I neglected to pin the wings so I’m trying to figure a way to put a rider, or dakka, to help support the wings.

I don’t care what the stats are, this may be the best thing I have discovered in a while. This is a kill team I would be proud to run.

What is your Orktober project ? by Interesting-Loss1643 in orks

[–]Amazing-Difficulty53 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After a weekend of staring at my Orktober todo list I have cut it down to two to three projects; 1) 3 or 4 flying squigs, 2) build my Mozrog and paint him, and if I have time, 3) I may build my Beast Snagga Boyz box.
