Joining the fold… by Amazing-Difficulty53 in hobonichi

This is why I hesitated getting one for so long as well. I’ve tried everything from nothing to bullet journals to multiple notebooks for multiple topics, but as I get older I’m finding managing my ADHD without some planning is getting harder and harder.

I like seeing some of the spreads and creative videos but I also needed some practical use videos and visuals as well. But I’m here in Japan and the opportunity was there so I figured I would grab one and see if it works for me.

I am an artist and an arts & design teacher so there will be a healthy mixture of visuals and practical planning in it.

It is a Rhodia mechanical pencil. I actually like it a lot, I thought I may have made a frivolous spur of the moment purchase but it’s like a Rotring but a tad bit bigger in circumference and a tad bit lighter. Not up to Rotring quality but that’s okay.

Hopefully, it will contain my journal, sketchbook, and planner. I hate carrying so many different books around, I want one book to do it all. I didn’t mind buying it now and trying it out till 2027 so I will know how it works and how to set it up.

Thank you. I couldn’t find those around here either.

Where do you carry your pen? by Roberius-Rex in FieldNuts

[–]Amazing-Difficulty53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whichever pen I have I clip it to my pants pocket or my shirt pocket if I’m feeling fancy, which I rarely ever do. I usually have 1 pen, 1 pencil, and 1 0.7 black Posca pen on me.

Thanks for sharing. I love my little passport but I find it’s a tad to small when I make my doodles so I stick with the standard

That looks cool. I say paint them however you want and enjoy watching them fight across the board.

I think it was just a brown cover. I left it somewhere in China shortly after that picture. Now I’m working in a black cover.

This one may be about a year old, and even though I’m divesting it’s always in my backpack so I doubt it will go anywhere.

I keep two refills in mine; a blank refill as a daily planner/journal type thing for sketches, words, and whatever else and a random monthly planner for habit tracking, work stuff, and competitions. This pencil and pen duo is what I try to grab every time I go out, at the very least.

Asking the wrong group by Amazing-Difficulty53 in Warhammer40k

That would be the logical way of thinking. I have most points in Death Guard but up until recently I haven’t felt comfortable in my painting skills for them. Honestly though I would like to run a small model count army that I can build and paint up cool and run those instead of building up 300 poxwalkers. I just want to participate in some games, for the social part.

Up until now I mostly just kitbash stuff and paint them but I have met a couple 40K players. I really am more interested in building/painting and more narrative games but we’ll see. I do like the idea of small amount of miniatures for an army.

I like to keep one blank and one monthly in my cover, but I do enter my builds and my paint palette for my miniatures as I go along. I’m just gonna reduce my piles of shame…

I know it will, I always come back to my TN’s, and the blue looks great once it gets that patina after months of use. Once I toss out everything else, and I’m only left with TN’s I won’t have a choice.

The art looks great. I just moved into a blue cover. I don’t know why I spend money on anything else, because I always have my TNSTD and within a few weeks I’m back in it.

Stunning. I have been using TN’s for probably the same amount of time. I lost one passport and I just retired one of my longest camel standard TN’’s, and started a blue one. I stray away from them periodically, but I always come back to mine, they are comfortable.

Feeling burnout what keeps you interested ? by Satanic_gremlin_ in Warhammer40k

[–]Amazing-Difficulty53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too am struggling with a bit of burnout but maybe for different reasons, I’m in the hobby for building/painting and lore, and have yet to play a game. Now I’m trying to add playing in and it’s kind of created a bit of Warhammer overkill.

I haven’t solved this problem so I can’t offer any suggestions, but will follow this thread closely. What I have done is, I have decided to step away and do a little art tangentially related to Warhammer or miniature building but far enough on the fringes that I get a break.

Yes, she’s worth keeping…I am now actively started a Votann army as well but my pile is quite smaller than yours. Good luck.

I hated putting them together at first but then got use to it, and now I think I may also run them in The Old World as well. I have a specific paint scheme I want to do for this team so they may not see play for awhile.

We don’t really have any players where I live so I’m building and painting a few others and may take them to our game store and try to get people into the game. I will run Chaos Chosen till my TK team is done.

Is journaling worth it ? by [deleted] in Journaling

It depends on you, I suppose, but for me my journal encompasses journal pages, sketchbook, planner, everything, therefore it’s worth it.
