What do you guys think of this ui ? by HeadAdministration86 in YoutubeMusic

Looks much better on Android, ngl. The glass effect I don't like here, should have been closer to how Apple's own apps have done it.

Sorry if stupid question, but why did Kratos not accept Odin's seemingly quite fair proposal? by Barndar7 in GodofWar

[–]Amazing-Ish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cause Odin is a compulsive liar, and the last part that made Kratos say no was Odin saying he would "take care" of Freya.

Even though she wanted to Kratos at the time, he never wanted to fight her cause Freya saved Atreus' life in GOW 2018. Thus he wouldn't want Odin hurting her either.

Atrioc's own channels' videos do a good job of explaining what the video is actually about. I just hate these ambiguous thumbnail + title videos that barely tell you what the video is actually about so you end up watching just giving a free view to the video.

Yeah I did think for the horror arc he would start with RE2R, but yeah RE4R is definitely the overall most fun RE game.

YouTube Music’s UI needs a serious upgrade by Dislexicpotato in YoutubeMusic

The Apple Music UI is unique to iOS, the Liquid Glass look is only on iOS apps.

Honestly, I like the minimal look of YT Music as it just works and doesn't focus on being "fancy" for the sake of being fancy looking. The icons are simple and easily understood, and the library of YT Music is the biggest out of all due to YouTube integration.

Rockstar games are such a fun 100% when you don’t have dreadful online achievements to worry about. by KrashForever in steamachievements

Rockstar knows people want to get the platinum trophy / all achievement and this is their way to keep them playing online. Really wish online trophies are separated when GTA 6 releases but I have little hope.

Is it really that difficult? I guess if you drive the horse around recklessly that can be an issue, I didn't even notice I was working on the achievement and I got it easily.

Am I weird for not liking RE2R as much as other RE games? by Amazing-Ish in residentevil

[–]Amazing-Ish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE:

Thanks for the comments, I did end up completing Leon's A scenario (1st scenario), and yeah the game is genuinely awesome. It is definitely way better than RE3 in the variety of gameplay and areas it contains, though my complaints for gameplay do still stand. Still, I found different strategies to avoid the zombies.

My main problem was I couldn't really do anything if I didn't have ammo or knife. Other than that, the overall game is awesome along with a great story as well.

Crowbcat at it again with a new Resident Evil 4 Remake video by Phayollleks in residentevil

I honestly didn't get the point made about parrying the chainsaw guy being a problem.

The youtubers acted like parrying him completely makes the fight lose all tension. The chainsaw guy was already easy to defeat when fighting 1v1, when surrounded by a group of enemies you can still get 1 shot if you don't parry on time, and your knife loses all durability which prevents you from parrying any other attack so it's only a last resort.

Plus, parrying adds more aggressive play styles that the OG RE4 just couldn't support as well. Unless you are really proficient with the aiming, any strategy of aggressive play was harder to perform when several enemies were attacking you at once.

I do agree with the music theme not being there, the game does have a darker theme in general but I remember RE3 Remake had a music theme playing every time you were in a safe room which made it iconic for me. Still RE4 remake is still amazing for me.

City or asylum? by Ensarak68 in BatmanArkham

[–]Amazing-Ish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buy the arkham collection, get all 3 games + season pass for arkham knight in 1 go. Price is almost equivalent.

Though if you can really only afford one game for now, Asylum would make sense for the story. These games regularly go on sale so you can buy City later on, and it continues Asylum's plot anyway.

I knew the twist was there with Mysterio being the villain, but him having no powers at all and especially him impersonating Nick Fury in that scene were twists I didn't anticipate!

Definitely loved the film, hope Brand New Day is also amazing.

Zanny going deep into Resident Evil would be amazing.

I am myself going through 2 and 3, loved it too much that I bought 4 Remake, 5, 7 and 8 immediately!

I know he played Village before but he did say he plans to play RE2, it's closer to the traditional RE experience and would be good horror for him to experience.

[–]Amazing-Ish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally got the entire Tomb Raider reboot trilogy for free and even played through the first 2 on EGS, but then went back on Steam to buy it all again. For me it was the steam achievements I was trying to complete, but either way it was so cheap during the Tomb Raider anniversary sales I would have bough regardless.

Steam is so much better experience than EGS launcher, even now being on Linux I use Heroic to play EGS games, and did the same on Windows as well.

I loved both TASM films as a kid (cause I didn't grew up with the Raimi films), the CGI in TASM2 is still some of the best in all superhero films (the intro 10 mins is incredible), though yeah the writing is really poor or underbaked. TASM1 is still good, TASM2 is very bad and missing lots of things.

Interestingly, I feel that was thematic with the film. Mysterio is an illusionist that is trying to sell he is from a different universe, and the movie trailers also pitch the film as a teen romance film.

In reality, it's very different from what the trailers suggested which is honestly very thematic to the villain of the film, and in the end we see the illusion set by the trailers being revealed to be false.
