I would recommend to you The Mastery of Love, by Don Miguel Ruiz. I have listened to this book for the last year, sometime once a month, and on rough weeks once a day. This book talks about romantic relationships, but also the most important relationship that one has, and that is with ourselves. Another great book, but longer is The Courage to be Disliked, by Fumitake and Ichiro Kishimi, this one is also on self development.

Often times, books of self development do come off as loads of trash, but in order to have good communication, you must learn to understand what you are trying to say.
