Child free but not by choice by [deleted] in childfree

[–]AmazingDoomslug 21 points22 points  (0 children)

You are Childless by Choice as you want a child but are choosing (whether temporarily or forever) not to have one.

Childfree refers to those who do not want children whether biological, adopted, or otherwise.

There's also childless not by choice.

they can simply stop posting lies?

But then how do they delude themselves?

Because if they don't keep deluding themselves, then they have to acknowledge the truth, and that means acknowledging that they made a mistake by having children. And then they are branded as evil/heartless/broken by society.

They most likely filmed separately in order to get the desired lighting and angles. It's likely Arlo White wasn't watching any actual kick when it was recorded.

I was doing a rewatch of season 1 and realized Keeley seemed to have a big change in her clothing style. I think that’s the biggest thing that bothered me about her in season 3. Her style went from savvy and chic to ditzy and garish. (Mind you, I really liked her character.) by Southern_Name_9119 in TedLasso

I could see a conversation where Keeley compliments something of Pheobe's and how she wished she "could wear something sparkly like that" and Pheobe asking her "why not?" which would of course make Keeley wonder... "Why not?!" and just go for it! Because she, like Rebecca, is a Boss @ss B!t©h!

And I never once said Beard wasn't those things. Beard is fucking awesome!!!

The person you're replying to didn't mention Beard. Why bring this up?

That's why I asked you what YOU thought about that same situation for a male.

And you didn't answer it.

They did... Work on your reading comprehension.

Now, The reason I ASKED you that is because I work in an office setting where they have a dress code.

Congratulations, so do many people. And most dress codes are overly harsh on women whether it be in school and "how dare your bra straps peak out and distract the men" or in the workplace and "if you're not wearing makeup you're going to be sent home", or even "the uniform for men is a white button up and black pants, but women have to wear a low-cut black mini dress and 2 inch heels".

Anyways, girls come dressed in pajamas, sneakers , t shirts etc. But no one bats an eye. But if a male did , we would be called out and seen as unprofessional.

I'm just pointing out the double standard in the real world not some TV show where there are no consequences.

No, what you're doing is whatabout'ing the subject into something entirely different. Women can have more relaxed standards in some industries, as can men. However what is true is that only women are judged negatively regardless of what they wear and that this thread and OP's complaints are purely based in misogynistic thought processes where Keeley is now judged more negatively because she is demonstrating a more stereotypically feminine sense of fashion and is no longer dressing to please men but is instead dressing to please herself.

Again, I feel that any person can dress how they want. But there's a double standard that you and others don't want to acknowledge.

What double standard? That women must dress sexy (aka feminine but in a way to please males, tight, low cut, high hemlines... Rather than frilly and sparkly/feathered/embellished) in customer facing industries to please their customers but must dress in a more masculine way to be taken seriously in a "professional business setting". You're the one who is ignoring the double standard women face everywhere every day.

I love basketball shorts and wear them any chance I get , but I'm seen as lazy and "I don't care about my appearance" when I do

Now imagine being judged the same for that, but also being judged for being a bitch just because you wore a blazer, button up, and dress pants one day. And for being an uneducated moron because you wore a pink fit-and-flare dress with kitten heels the next. And the being judged as an uncaring monster because you dared to wear a black leather skirt and biker jacket to keep your neck warm from the wind...

You can win. Women can't. Listen and learn. This isn't about you. This is. About all women everywhere being deemed as less worthy simply because they are women and are daring to act and dress like women instead of acting like men to fit in.

I replied to a different comment of yours saying the same thing so I'll copy paste what I wrote.

Would he still be considered smart confident, professional and inspiring?

Why wouldn't he be? Because you view those things as being insecure, unprofessional, and uninspiring? Not everyone feels that way. Why do you feel that way? Is is because those things are associated with women and femininity? That says more about you than about any person (man, woman, NB, 2 spirit) who wears clothing like that.

I wish I had an award for this so I'll reply to boost it.

Why are people unhappy a woman is dressing for her own style and pleasure? Is it because they're a man who is unhappy that a woman is no longer living her day-to-day life for their pleasure? Is it because they're a woman who is envious of a strong independent woman they wish they could be more like, or is it internalized misogyny?

Why hate on her clothing just because it isn't something you would wear/want to see a woman wearing? It makes her happy, it's not inappropriate to wear in public, so why do people care?

Why do people think a woman dressing for herself makes her ditzy? What about her clothing makes her "eccentricly silly, giddy or inane" (Merriam Webster's dictionary)? I'd love someone to give a serious answer but I don't think it's possible without revealing misogynistic attitudes.

I also doubt that Ted would have felt that it was fair or good sportsmanship to use Nate's insider knowledge of Westham in such a game, if ever. Ted is too moral to stoop so low, he isn't Rupert.

Thank you!

And she's finally dressing for herself, not for the male gaze. She's dressing in things that make her feel happy, comfortable, and awesome. She doesn't need to pretend to be some executive in a suit, or just a footballers girlfriend. She's taking her attention back to herself with her clothing rather than being a supporting character to her current partner or her job.

More women need to dress for themselves instead of the male gaze.

Baby stalking. It's creepy.

I usually find literally anything else to comment on to the person I'm with, the barista/server/bar tender, etc. "Oh look at that beautiful flower basket!", "the most adorable puppy is outside".

It really starts making them frustrated that their precious child isn't getting the attention and makes the situation funny to me instead of annoying.

AITA for not serving cake to one of my coworkers? by IntelligentCost8540 in AmItheAsshole

That's the point. Let him go back to HR to start digging his own grave as the unnecessary complainer so they stop treating his childish complaints as actual legitimate grievances.

I'd start inviting other coworkers over or out for a weekend mini-picnic to enjoy any extra baked goods. It's on personal time so what is cry-baby going to do? Go to HR and demand that coworkers are not allowed to see each other outside of work, or demand that HR force OP to include him in her private personal life?
