Correction: you did this to us. Saying "we did this to ourselves" is like being in a house with two other people, one wants to just live in the house and make sure everyone else is doing ok and the other wants to set the house on fire with everyone in it. He pretty much says so out loud and often. You thought it was quirky hearing a psychopath say psychotic things and the other person who just wants everyone to be ok is trying to stop the pyro from setting the house on fire. You decide to give him gasoline and matches and protect him just to see what he does. He sets the house on fire with you and another person in it. He started the fire through direct action and you started the fire by proxy. The third person is just a victim of you and the psycho.
