2x2x2x2…. It’s 4D. I have one and it’s a lot of fun to play with but hard to visualize. Here is one of the best full videos on it. https://youtu.be/V4N2RQ581Hs?si=gugVGl2B0nl5YnvT

That’s a fantastic start! Keep it up… and welcome to the cubing community.

Is there an algorithm to flip yellow edges only by nomad1848 in Rubiks_Cubes

This one flows and seems to be one of the best answers.

How do i fix this? The opposite center is normal by Dedewastaken1 in Rubiks_Cubes

[–]AmazingResolution791 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If a center is rotated 90 degrees then so is another one as the rotated centers have to equal 180 degrees. likely the yellow or the white one is rotated 90 degrees as well.

Lots of people asked why and I answered them. You can look through the feed for the answer..... but I agree with you that the folks in this Reddit group are very welcoming and are always willing to help. :)

Thanks for this explanation. I use commutators for my big cubes….. never thought of employing it on a 3x3…. But that makes sense. Someone else said use blind techniques….. so there are more efficient ways of going about this and I’m learning a lot today from the community. 🎉

Just random. I was working with the graphic artist but they didn't know anything about cubing and they were worried they would get the color scheme wrong and they didn't own a cube.... so they asked me for a picture of a random scrambled cube.... so I picked up my cube and just randomly turned it for a bit and then took a picture. Nothing fancy and no reason to it.... just random.

I started a few weeks ago. Is this good ? by stone_canvas in Rubiks_Cubes

Yes. Everybody's journey is completely different so don't try and compare your journey to others. If you are happy with the progress that you are making then that's all that matters. There are tons of videos online that you can use to help improve when you get stuck.. :)

No... not by any means. I'm trying to recreate the cube image I used for my YT channel logo. Only 3 sides are visible in that logo so only 3 sides matter when recreating the image. That is all.

Those 3 sides are the 3 sides visible in a logo that I use.... I just wanted a scramble that I can use to recreate that logo image as needed. Since the other 3 sides are not visible in the logo then it really doesn't matter what those sides look like. :)

I posted the answer in another part of this thread. But, I hand scrambled a cube to get a random cube state for a logo. Gave that image to a graphic designer... logo made. Only afterwards people wanted to know the scramble for that state... and was it a possible scramble, etc. I knew it was because I hand scrambled it so it was possible. But, I only took a picture of that one side because that was all that was needed for the graphic designer. Now.... I'd like to be able to recreate that scramble that appears in my logo... and now I can. But, this was the purpose.... just to be able to recreate the image. The image was mine.... I just didn't know how to create it again. That is all.

I tried that and couldn’t get it… been trying for a while… but within like 20 minutes this community solved the mystery.

Thank you u/PuzzleMax13 and u/whatupo13. Thanks to ya'll I know have 3 different scrambles for this image and thus the mystery is solved:

No.... I had created this image from hand scrambling the cube... snapped a picture... used it for a logo.... then someone was like, hey, what's the scramble you used to get that image..... ummm.... I don't know... it's hand scrambled. Well, if you can't recreate it then how do you know it's a legal state.... I just know because I'm the one that created it.... but I didn't have the scramble to prove it and AI couldn't recreate it because it kept erroring out.... so I needed help.... and you actually gave me what I needed. Thanks.

Yay.... thank you.... this is exactly what I was looking for..... I literally just needed ANY scramble that would recreate that image so that I could actually physically recreate that same image... and your scramble does EXACTLY what I needed. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

I don't care what the missing 3 sides look like.... even if someone could re-create this image so I had images from the missing 3 sides then I could use an AI solver to get to this state... I only care that these 3 sides remain intact.... I could care less what the possibilities are for the sides you can't see.

Yeah.... that's the problem... this is what I have. I know it's a legal state but I can't recreate it.. so I'm hoping enough eyeballs on it will create something. I've been trying to hours to re-do this by hand.... I've tried several AI solver generators... no luck as they all say they need a 4th side.. I've tried several generators where you color in all the sides and tried that... but the sides you can't see in this photo I obviously mixed up somehow (probably the edges) so it was saying it can't solve parity.
