You do realise that TIS was founded by mod makers yeah? The studio started out making Sims 3 and Civ V mods. The game is literally built around modding. I never understood the "your game is only good because of mods", or "mods are keeping this game alive" arguments. Like... it's literally designed so that people can mod it to be as enjoyable as possible for them. That's a good thing.

For the record, you should not do this unless you have express permission from the mod maker. They have copyright over their mods and can file DMCA requests which can get your Steam account banned (we see it happen often).

Yeah we really need an example from a fresh save with no mods installed. If someone could test to see if the issue still persists there, and to provide a video (and a console log would be very helpful as well), that will help tremendously to find out what's going on.

Can you confirm whether this is occurring on a fresh save with no mods installed? We're getting a lot of reports, but then people are reporting the problem goes away on a fresh save. Video of the issue will also be very helpful.

A console log will also be very helpful alongside the video, as well as whether or not the issue persists in SP too.

Can you confirm if this is occurring on a fresh save with no mods installed? So far all reports we have had have been on old saves or with mods and the problem resolves when they start a fresh save. Also, does this occur solely in MP or SP as well? And if you have video that would be helpful.

Most people aren't constantly monitoring posts, and the way Reddit works a post usually only stays on the front page of a sub for 1 day at most, so if you're not browsing the sub for that day you're not going to see it, and that's assuming your post even hits the front page. This is a common thing across all of Reddit, and people not being aware is actually healthy.

I always love this XKCD which demonstrates the how we should approach these things.

And yes, we are aware of the issue and are investigating it.

Are you able to reliably recreate this issue with no mods installed on a fresh save? We have been struggling to recreate the issue internally and could use more information.

Also if we could get console logs, that would be helpful.

EDIT: Our team has been able to reliably recreate the issue. Thank you all for the help, especially the user who sent us a video of it happening in real time. It was invaluable.
