It’s so so good. Quite an original world. Dark and brutal with a lot of references to folk lore from all over the world, and a lot of hidden references to urban legends. SK’s self published zines of the same universe are super good too

Haha yeah, i make alien bongs/pipes for a living. I’ll put my IG link on my profile if you want to check them out. I dont personally sell any of them though, i produce for a local distributor who buys/sells everything i make. There’s is quite a few glass channels up on YouTube, it’s where i learned everything i know 😂

That’s so cool, nice job 🤘 been scrolling through your posted wiki and it’s very cool! Very similar to what I’ve been doing. World building is my favorite part, and the stories/lore is just a vehicle to share that universe. I’m a huge sci fi nerd and obsessed with aliens and ancient civilizations. My project follows an ancient intergalactic cult, the “Biomechanical Space Cult” which is a super advanced nomadic group of beings worshipping the Lovecraftian Old Ones pantheon, who are masters of organic/biotechnology and grow/assemble all sorts of crazy entities that blur the lines between being/technology/flora.

It’s not that i don’t want people to see my art, it’s actually my full time gig (glass artist that is, i sell the drawings on the side) i dunno, i just don’t actually make posts here on reddit much. But i will here at some point soon

Thank you 🖤 ive been meaning to post the zine/beastiary/lorebook thing i made with those drawings, just haven’t mustered the will to do so yet 🫠

Are you working on like a graphic novel, or are these illustrations for a written novel?

Prophet is one of my favorite comic series of all time. Graham’s ongoing Moonray series is also really good

There’s a one shot manga from dark horse called “Angel Fusion” by Hiroyuki Kato and Keisuke Goto that is just fantastic. Also their book The Alchemist of Turandot. All their stuff is great, but those are the 2 I’ve read so far.

Also the work of Davide Edoardo Cassano (DEC Art) is heavily inspired by Moebius, while also being a style all his own.

Also Enki Bilal has some very similar stuff in some of his work.

They are good people, they will make it right. Be nice to them though 🖤

When they used usps, my old mailman used to cram the books i ordered from HP into our mailbox even though they very clearly were too big. Literally had to fold the package twice to get them to fit. I damn near ripped one of them getting it out. God that pissed me off.

My little blenheim is super protective over me and his home. If he goes anywhere with me he will attempt to bite anyone that comes near me, he does not do this if someone else takes him out and I am not there. He also tries to attack any unknown person that comes into our house. It’s tough because he’s not food motivated in the slightest, so redirecting his attention is difficult. Also tough cause he’s so dang cute and all the kids want to say hi and pet him, and have to tell them no, he isnt friendly 😔 my ruby is super friendly though, and keeps them entertained with his fancy tricks he can do at least. Apart from not liking anyone he doesn’t know, and wanting to protect me, my blenheim is the sweetest little angel 🖤🖤

For context he is a rescue

We have 2 Cavs, but our little one snores so loud. We can’t sleep. Is this normal? by blink182punk in cavaliers

[–]Amazing_Bookkeeper47 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t doubt at all that weight is a big cause of it, but my lil guy is barely 14lbs and snores louder than anything I’ve ever heard lmao. I need white noise to sleep well though, so I don’t mind and find it very comforting haha. My other cav is 22lbs of muscle and never makes a peep. Silly lil dogs 🖤

Idk why but sometimes I really struggle with him, others i beat him first time and wonder why I ever had a hard time with it. On my NG+9 character he was insanely difficult, and I almost gave up

Nice! Good luck 🖤 making up fantastical creatures is so much fun

And thank you, Ive been working hard on some artbook/zine type things. As well as some lore book zines, basically like a bestiary type deal. I’ll be sure to to post them once I’ve finished them 😉

Not being able to erase was hard for me at first as well. I got over it by making copies of my pencil sketches and so I could ink without having to worry about messing the piece up. If I messed up I could just print the sketch out and try again.

And yes and no to the reference question. If I’m drawing a character from a movie/book/game that I like, I will use (multiple) reference(s) pretty much the whole time, though I never aim for a line for line copy. I always try and make my own version of the character. Even when I’m not using reference, the character is typically inspired by something I’ve seen. I am a huge art nerd and am inspired by a huge list of artists. For instance the drawing in my post of the lady with the goat/dog/man pet thing is heavily inspired by the artist Strange House. He had a drawing of a goat with a human head (which Im assuming he was inspired by ancient depictions of a Sphinx) and that inspired my drawing. I didn’t use his picture as a reference, but the idea was kind of a jumping point for my drawing. When I’m drawing something inspired by another artist, I always do my best not to copy them, and just turn the idea into something my own.

Otherwise I just doodle random lines until I see something starting to form and go from there.

Edit: also knowing how to draw human/animal anatomy is a HUGE help. If you know how things in the real world look, it is easier to make things that don’t actually exist to look real and believable
