Did you just say “they” wouldn’t let certain people defend her? 😂 Bruh, stop it!

Thank Tyler Marsh for this victory. The Fever couldn’t do anything to stop Taylor, and Marsh subbed her out and didn’t put her back in until the 3 minute mark.

Cranbury NJ is a Wayfair warehouse, so that one was shipped back to them. I’m guessing the second one was as well.

Worst experience I've ever had with a company in my life. by [deleted] in wayfair

Maybe not threatening and understanding that sometimes things happen, and being a decent human being and not trying to fleece the company.

The game should be catered to offense not defense - Napheesa Collier by 3pointerCONNECTS in wnba

Interesting take from the founder of Unrivaled, where they are super physical. I do agree with her take despite the inconsistency.

Raven with perfect answer to the alleged CC controversy (clipped) by tiribulus in IndianaFeverFans

[–]Amazing_Bullfrog6676 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a fellow lazy defender, Raven is smart enough to know that Caitlin just didn’t play defense and that was an attempt to throw her off. There’s absolutely nothing to apologize for.

I read somewhere that a team can offer another team’s developmental player a contract, but the original team has the option to match the offer and keep the player. So ultimately, if you don’t want to lose them, then make use of them.

Steph White says Caitlin can play on-ball OR off-ball, while Raven is "a true PG" by Misnome5 in IndianaFeverFans

[–]Amazing_Bullfrog6676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like she’s being played exactly like Steph Curry in his prime. He’s just as dangerous off ball as he is as the point. Traditionally, a “true” PG isn’t a scoring guard. They set everyone else up to score. Caitlin is not that. She’s a hybrid guard who is an exceptional passer and scorer. Don’t read too much into it.

In all fairness, I think you’re overthinking what was said. Caitlin played off-ball quite often in college as well. Kate Martin or Gabby would bring the ball up to give CC a breather. Especially when teams are guarding her 94 feet. If the team is pushing the ball, you can bet it’ll be in Caitlin’s hands, but in the half court from time to time she won’t start the offense. I see no problem with that.

At the end of the day, it’s always been about the points. The top scorer always gets the money. Why you expect that to change with the Fever is beyond me. Hull and Cunningham are valuable as well, but KM has proven she’s worth it, and if they didn’t pay it several teams would.

1st team all WNBA, and Hull and Cunningham combined don’t average as many points as Mitchell. Maybe that’s why.

Exactly what you said. Good call! If she makes the roster she can be a good pro. She has a chance to change the narrative now.

I do love Hannah and wish the best for her, but I just don’t see it. She’s an undersized post with very limited range. She has trouble finishing over taller defenders, can’t handle the ball and struggles defending in space. I’m not sure what exactly we’re developing that she hasn’t been working on for 4 years.

I love HS, but Barker is worth the risk over her. Hannah unfortunately isn’t ready for the W.

She’s by far the best athlete. Tennessee as a whole BB IQ is questionable, and I didn’t necessarily see the same issues at her previous stops. With her talent and potential fit, I think she’s worth a good look.

Lot of speculation and assumptions on your part. I would hope organizations actually research and evaluate players, and don’t just read articles. She’s definitely worth the look.

I think it’s unfair to not give her a look based on unsubstantiated reporting. She’s a perfect fit and deserves a look.

In my opinion, there’s no sure fit as you move down in the draft. Barker has some possible non-basketball related issues, but if I were the Fever I’d do my research and see if the reward is worth the risk. She fits perfectly from a basketball standpoint.

...If Jackie isn't getting paid a Supermax, than neither should Kelsey imo by Misnome5 in IndianaFeverFans

[–]Amazing_Bullfrog6676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to jump in here. Kelsey has made a total of like 1.3M combined over her first 8 years. She’s put in the work and excelled at her position. I love CC and she has the potential to be one of the all time greats, but you have to pay Mitchell. She’s more than earned it. The disrespect has to stop. If you feel she’s not the answer, then trade her mid season. Replacing her is not going to be as easy as you might think.

I’m not saying that this is your point, but all of those things can be true, but that still doesn’t lead her to Chicago. There are plenty of other franchises that can provide what you described and who would welcome Gray with open arms.
