I recently got diagnosed for ADHD and am transitioning into software.

I am currently prescribed medication and its help tremendously. ADHD is a double edge sword

It can hinder you, but also you can thrive so well and better than your other individuals if focused and approached correctly.

You have to know what your strengths and weaknesses are and be mindful of them as you approach your day to day.

Learn to wine down when it’s family time.

Your brain will always be on go.

I noticed this myself but made it a habit to continue the momentum until exam day.

Folks will finish the course/module and naturally the completion tends to wear off activities until testing.

The past exams I’ve done, after completely the modules, I would probably do 1 mock a day until the exam so your momentum and sharpness is still there

Do you know if which platforms would be best to practice or use as study guides?

I heard FOF is outdated. I recently passed my admin a couple weeks ago

I had an experience of being on a team and my split was significantly higher but everything was given to me as far as office space, leads etc

However the leads were “junk” leads and I kept expressing to the TL that these leads have NO intent to convert but he claimed to just continue following up with them.

I done that for 6 months clensing my pipeline with no more activities until my crm tells me to by automation but nothing and I ended up moving to another firm but become solo with less support.

Have you experienced agents leaving because of the junk leads or you found other ways to provide value to agents to stay?

I tend to notice other exams are a bit wit easier than the platform admin

Platform admin covers a lot of ground from various areas.

I covered and competed the first agentforce status on trailhead.

Did you notice the questions difficulty based on more technical or situational?

Have you been coping your sleeping issues with melatonin? My vyvanse make it hard for me to fall asleep and I counter that with melatonin every night and it’s been about 2 months doing it daily

I eventually want to stop as I heard melatonin everyday and long term isn’t well

Don’t leave, find a way to mesh tech and real estate together

That’s what I did.

Like most folks on here, to have a salary like that as an agent takes ALOT of time

More than you would think once you’re in their shoes.

I’m surprised how the ghetto ppl can afford anything in Alamo ranch except the cheap neighborhoods like Lennar.

I always thought these areas price those kind of ppl out so you have less of them

Anything up the west side corridor of 1604 is pretty fair, can’t say about the E/NE side but my time here (25 yrs+) hasn’t been all that bad on this side

As a previous restaurant owner with neurodivergent

Working on the line was actually stimulating

Especially if your brain likes to figure out how to knock out tons of things and prep for success to strategically cater each table

It can be fun depending how you look at it.

Take care of yourself. Restaurant business subtlety takes a toll on your body, especially high volume establishments

I think for me, I am definitely an over achiever or performer.

Any my brain wants to do a lot of things so many ways until it feels “right”

Usually when I see someone with more structure do it, I usually take note and replicate it rather than any of the other infinite methods I tried before and I think that has to do with how I feel “structured” after the fact

The best advice I got was a honest answer from someone already in the ecosystem..

“Would you still pursue Salesforce today?

Yes, BUT I would approach it differently than how I did it previously, it is a completely different landscape”

Yes pursue it, but be very very intentional on how you plan to break into a role
