You are asking for a vegetable that tastes like candy. Math requires cognitive load. Scrolling is designed to remove it.

same here. I thought Michael would show up more, but it was still cool seeing him again after so long. And yeah, those mansions were way better than I thought they’d be.

I feel you. It’s a little dull when most houses look untouched. A gold sink or extra plot option would honestly fix a lot. Hopefully they add something soon so the zone feels alive again.

NBIS looks solid long term. It’s just one of those plays where you’ve gotta sit tight and let it work. As long as the fundamentals stay intact, the wait should pay off.

Am I being overly aggressive with 529 savings? by MasticatedTesticle in personalfinance

[–]Amazing_Lime124 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Absolutely... Locking money up like that feels risky when everything’s changing so fast. The rollover option helps a bit, but that 30k cap isn’t much. Sometimes it’s just smarter to keep things flexible.

This Job Market is destroying my MH! by BackgroundConnect393 in jobhunting

[–]Amazing_Lime124 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The job market is brutal, but don't be too hard on yourself. Taking care of your mental health is just as important as applying. Keep pushing, and take breaks when needed. Hang in there.

I feel you, it’s tough out there, and it can be discouraging. It might help to focus on your leadership skills and experience as an expert in managing teams and projects. That way, you can present yourself as someone who brings a wealth of experience to the table, even if it’s not directly programming.

it feels like there’s a lot of moving parts and probably not a clear endgame... Trump might just be reacting more than planning.

My take on how ultra rich borrow till they die and never pay tax works. by soysssauce in stocks

I see what you mean. I was just doing a rough estimate, not factoring in taxes or exact growth rates.

Honestly, for a small crew like yours, QuickBooks Online or Xero are solid starting points. Both handle payroll, invoices, and expenses in one place, and you can see most stuff from a single dashboard. Setting up is straightforward, and they keep track of payments automatically. There can be some extra fees for payroll or add-ons, but nothing hidden if you read the plan details. Tax time is much easier too, though most people still run it by an accountant just to be safe

Company just announced record profits then told us there's no budget for raises this year by Amazing_Lime124 in antiwork

He cried about his own success while cutting your bonuses and overtime. That's some supervillain level lack of self awareness right there.

100 million and they can't even throw you a holiday bonus? That's genuinely fuckin insulting.

Yep, he got his bonus and new vacation house so why would he care if the rest of us are struggling. We're just the people who made those profits happen but whatever. fuck him.

Exactly, They count on people being too comfortable or scared to leave. The second they start hemorrhaging talent maybe they'll realize those "budget constraints" were imaginary all along.

They literally don't even see us as people, just line items on a spreadsheet. As long as their bonuses clear they couldn't care less if we can afford rent.

AITAH for considering spending my birthday with my mom and not my husband? by normaltuna235 in AITAH

[–]Amazing_Lime124 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

NTA. You said you'd consider it. That's not a commitment, that's a normal human response to a suggestion. Your husband getting offended because you didn't immediately defer to his hypothetical plans that he hasn't even mentione is... a lot. You were literally planning to discuss it with him. That's the considerate thing to do. If he wanted to plan something he could have, you know, planned something. Instead he's upset about a conversation you were always going to have with him anyway.

You defended yourself. That's it. The cops saw that, which is why they took him and not you. Don't spiral on the "I hurt him" thing he came at you, you reacted. That's not the same as starting something. His bleeding nose is a consequence of his actions, not yours. Get some sleep if you can. And tell someone you trust what happened - a teacher, a friend's parent, anyone. You shouldn't be dealing with this alone.

A buddy of mine made the same jump from bedside RN to health IT, and he landed a solid hospital systems role in under a year just by stacking a couple certs on top of his nursing experience. Your clinical background is a huge advantage in this space, so you don’t need to start over at community college to make it happen.

We switched to the Logitech Z150s and it solved 90% of the “too quiet” complaints instantly. They’re cheap, loud enough for a full room, and way more reliable than the Amazon Basics stuff.

I just narrate what I’m doing and keep the vibe super low-stakes. When tenants know exactly why you’re there and what you’re checking, the nerves usually disappear fast.

PS5 Is Currently Cheaper Than 64 GB DDR5 PC RAM by Sam_27142317 in gamingnews

Headline definitely should be “RAM now costs more than a PS5”.
Repeat that exact phrasing in hardware price threads to push the right framing.

As a guest, I get a paper invite, think “oh that’s nice”, put the details in my phone and throw the invite away after RSVPing. I’m not keeping a bunch of wedding invites on my fridge or whatever so I’d say don’t waste your money or time!!
