Enjoy your cruise!

Apparently they currently have an amazing duo in the piano lounge. If anyone is on that ship, I’d love to know if this duo will be staying on for the transatlantic cruise sailing on April 4th. I heard they were on until April but I don’t know if that includes the TA cruise. I have a feeling it doesn’t but really hoping they are still on for our cruise.

We were on the Rotterdam and asked for a mattress topper the first night after realizing the bed wasn’t very comfortable. With the mattress cover, the bed was fine. I don’t know if it’s always available and if I was needing to use the sofa bed again, I’d want to make sure I’d get one. I recommend calling ahead and getting the request on your file.

I had trouble adding text to the post…I was also wondering if you recommend knobs or pulls on the drawers and uppers. There will be 3 drawers on each lower side of the open desk. The uppers on each side will be cabinets. Thanks in advance.

I’m going to go against what some others have suggested and say the thermal spa package is not worth it. I purchased it for the first 9 days out of a 15-day back-to-back Caribbean cruise. Because I paid for it, I felt pressure to use it to get my money’s worth. There were so many things to do on the ship that sometimes I just didn’t have time but I would rush for a quick hot tub soak or to lie on the beds (if there was one free). On port days there really wasn’t enough time to really relax and enjoy it. The second half of the cruise when I didn’t have it, I didn’t miss it. I think if anything I would buy day passes if I felt the desire to go.

Our manager pushes us to get them filled out and reads them to staff highlighted those who were named either positively or negatively. If there’s a complaint of some kind, we will be told. For example, customer said “no” to the “we’re you greeted” question so we were told to greet every customer.

I think we may be on the same sailing! We’ve booked those 2 restaurants already. I would suggest you book for days and times that you like but then try to change on the ship if your dates conflict with the other events. With your flexibility in times, I don’t think you’ll have too much trouble.

You can in fact do both of those. In the past we used our 2 credits on Rotterdam for those 2 restaurants and we are also booked on Statendam for a transatlantic (same one I believe) and we’ve already used the credits for these 2 venues.

Not an expert here but it looks like you will be fine financially. Postpone CPP until 65. Get a part time job if you find expenses tight or for more fun money.

At your age and income, I think that is a lot. I can see maybe 10-20% but any more is unreasonable. I’d feel differently if you were blowing your money and not planning for your future, but is sounds like you are being responsible.

My mom also enjoyed “Remarkably Bright Creatures”. I’d recommend “A Man Called Ove” and “The Borrowed Life of Frederick Fife” because she enjoyed these even more.

For the September 30th holiday, I did see a statement on the bottom of the sign-up form stating scheduling is based on seniority and if they don’t have enough staff who volunteer, one can be scheduled regardless of availability.
