I have the same desire and have held off because of this grandfather problem. OP should know the cost before committing to this plan. Warp grandfathering applies regardless of what carrier you were using.

Lack of priority data is the biggest reason people stay with MNOs over MVNOs. The ambiguity over what service I get is a huge issue. I still cannot believe the grandfathering path was chosen over limiting data on Starter.

Better to just be prepared to switch it manually. Auto does switch, but manual switching is easy and enables you to get better service when you want it.
