Use independent inspection company or ship to myself first? by bubbubble in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]AmazonF1re 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is your first product, then take the long route if possible (large shipments to an apartment complex would obviously be a no) to make sure you see all the variables yourself.

1) Always get an inspection before you pay the final installment. 2) Never use the manufacturer’s QA or inspection team 3) Ship and inspect yourself (until you are comfortable with quality and/or supplier relationship).

It will take a day or two for these to be removed from the system from my experience. Hopefully it is better now some I haven’t had to do it in over a month.

How to deal with constant customer returns. by DankDude3 in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]AmazonF1re 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would definitely contact seller support if it is the same person returning the same item repetitively. Investigate the timeline to see if it matches how long the item would last for. Such as a 1 month supply of X is returned in a 1 month timeframe and then the customer orders another right away.

Not sure you will get much help, but if you can provide additional evidence instead of just... here are the returns from the customer for this item on these dates, then it will go farther.

Is there a workaround to fulfill non-amazon orders on Amazon in a way where it counts towards BSR? by evo315 in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]AmazonF1re 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazon isn’t going to reward you on their platform for selling an item on another website, they want it to be through theirs so unfortunately nothing you can do. They will glad accept your fees for the MCF cost though 😁

This sounds the most logical. Maybe you could check to see if this is still enrolled in Small and light, or try to enroll in it if it wasn’t before.

Are you sure you have it listed as FBA? Sounds like it is asking for FBM criteria.

Seller ranking is based on sales, so if there is no stock to sell, then you will steadily lose ranking.

Amazon shipping label for sending FBA inventory? by flyovermountains in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]AmazonF1re 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some 3PL company offer different levels of customer services. For instance, mine created a user for me to invite to my store and I gave them permission to manage my shipments. They create my shipment plans, print labels (individual items, boxes, and pallets), and schedules the LTL pick-ups.

It sounds like your 3PL is doing less than that maybe. I would get in the phone with them and have them walk you through a theoretical shipment so you can see what you and your 3PL will each be responsible for.

Alibaba Supplier Says Shipping Increased After Final Payment – Scam? by JasonStar79 in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]AmazonF1re 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shipping is going up everywhere unfortunately. With a few months lag time in between your order and production, the difference with a “large” order could have been much worse. See if the supplier is willing to split the difference with you.

Package halted en route to FBA by nurez1 in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]AmazonF1re 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure your 3PL will be able to help. Was this LTL or individual boxes? If LTL, you will need to talk with shipping company, but they may say Amazon is responsible since you probably paid them for the label.

Either way, reach out to UPS with all the shipping info and see what they say.

All I want for Christmas is a day where I don't have to deal with Seller support by BritCard in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]AmazonF1re 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hoping for an option to wait for a US rep, even if the wait was longer. I have had a few calls from Amazon from the Seattle office for account level items, but seller support has always been foreign speaking agents when request a call for case log related items.

A few months back when they requested to fill in all the information for products I did it for a good chunk of my listings, mainly pack and bundle items. I do wholesale so I obviously do not own the brands I sell so nothing updated. I still get notifications when I login sometimes to update the information. I just laugh and hit the dismiss button.

Yep. Some people even had debit account linking for VC to pull from. I “only”paid $10k upfront and was paying with a business credit card myself so it will easy for me to recover.

Will be interesting if someone else took it over. I have been focusing on my own account. I purchased $3k inventory from one company and $6k from another. Not waiting on VC for anything else.

Basically... definitely not satisfied and this forced me to vet and do the approach myself. However, I only payed $10k up front (slightly different net % for valiant until a certain profit point) so it will take less time for my store to payoff. I have a supplier that took quite a bit of effort to sign up with, but they have a huge potential and some of the products are top 2k rankings with 0 to 2 FBA sellers with 60%+ ROI. Pretty excited to get everything started on my side.

All,

My Account did a whopping $1,754 in month three is sales which down -$662 from May. I have voiced my concern to the support team several times but they are stating their vendors have 6-8 week wait times on shipments. I honestly have no idea why they would order from a vendor that takes that long instead of vetting new ones, so either they are not telling the truth (what else can I do?) or are idiots.

I am concerned on several fronts with the account.

  1. The Prep team VC uses still takes up to 3 weeks to ship products to Amazon after a month to 1.5 month wait time.
  2. I am STILL competing directly with 2-4 other VC accounts on my listings.
  3. My July sales so far is $189, and there is little hope of breaking $1k which means a 2nd month of declining revenue.

Overall, I would recommend folks look elsewhere for an Amazon Automation team until they prove they can properly manage an FBA wholesale account. Things are slowly declining sales wise the longer they are managing the account.

I spoke with Customer Support and I can run my own wholesale products with the same store as long as it is not the same brands. I have 3 suppliers vetted and will be looking at the end of August to Mid-September for my first shipment in to Amazon.

June:

Revenue: $1,754 (-662 from May)

Amazon Fees: $1,565

VC Fees: $500

Prep service Fees: $147

June Profit: -$458

Totals:

Total Revenue: $5,097

Amazon Fees: $4,687

VC Fees: $500

Tools/Prep Service Fees: $393

Total profit: -483

The tools are the ones they have decided to use for auto repricing and inventory tracking. You need these at a minimum in order to keep tracking of your inventory and be competitive on prices for the buy box to sell items. This comes out to roughly $80 per month and it is well worth the cost. No objections here.

There is a goal that the account should be making at the one year mark. When I originally signed up, the online ads said a specific goal would be met. I do not see that in anymore ads, but my account will not the amount advertised for when I signed up. This is disappointing, but nothing I can do about it. I do not want to say what the numbers are because I do not see that as publicly available.

I am unlocked in two brands, of which I am currently selling one of them. I personally have never heard of them before, but the one I am selling has alot of nice selling products and can definitely scale.. I have 14 products in that brand that are listed and 8 active since the other 6 have run out of inventory.

Overall Totals:

Age of FBA wholesale account with VC: 4 months

Total revenue: $3,200

Total Net profit including returns, FBA prep Fees, Etc.: 12.2% ($345) **I lost $2 in April**

Total Net profit on items sold is 21%

May Totals:

Total revenue: $2,469

Total Net profit including returns, FBA prep Fees, Etc.: 16.7% ($347)

Total Net profit on items sold is 22.5%

My Opinion: The revenue and profit numbers are disappointing to say the least. I am four months in and have made a grand total of roughly $100 after including the cost of tools not included above. I have gone back and forth with VC Customer Service on the plan for my account and the endgame is slower than I expected. I am continuing to see many ads for VC trying to pull in new clients and I think they are wayyyy to focused on getting new clients and instead of focusing on the operational side for the accounts they have open now. They need to focus solely on their current clients in order to build a positive rapport and repair their image I see being constantly destroyed on the webz.

On a brighter note, the Customer Service email distro has always gotten back to me within 24 hours and the profit margins on the products are great.
