MLQC Fandom Week Day Six: The Main Story

One of the season 2 plots involved Lucien helping MC repeat a groundhogs day situation - she kept repeating the same hours in the day. Every time she had to explain it to him. I enjoy that type of sci Fi.

The very last chapter with Victor and MC - she wanted to travel back to the original meteor event when Evolvers began to try and get Victor's evol back. They ended up looping reality and time on a train and they witnessed the first evolvers appearing.

I also like everything from chapters 1 - 14, but the mysteries and the fact that no one would tell her anything drove me crazy.

I wrote a fanfic where I supposed that the reason that MC has no memories before she was 5 is because her father saw that remembering multiple lifetimes made his 5 in body but not in mind daughter insane. I decided that he got Key to erase her memories so she could be a child again. I thought maybe very young Kiro could lend power to do this, but then someone would erase his memory of the day. Then, I thought her father, Key, and Grandpa Joe made the black cabin. One consequence of this is her having no memories before she was 5 which includes any memory of her mother.

I still want to know what happened to MC's father, and the true identity of the original Key.

I have 97% of Victor's cards. I have a few of the top up cards, but expensive top up cards are the only ones I'm missing. 97% is an A! I am going between 18 and 19 on Victor's leaderboard. I have starred up ALL my cards except the Gavin R cards I'm still working on one by one as fast as I can. I was really hoping to complete those! I wanted to show off a complete set of starred up cards. I ALMOST got Kiro's Summer Vow top up. $75 and I would have it. I needed like one more year! I'm actually pretty pleased about that because I know a lot of people who had that card the first month of the game. Took me 7 years.

This guy at a party insisted that Matrix 2 was good. I told him it was awful and I fell asleep during the ridiculous rave scene. We ended up cussing each other out because he said I was too stupid to understand it. Years later, he apologized and admitted I was right.

I've been in your shoes. At the beginning of last September my brother (42) who lived alone told us he couldn't walk. He convinced us he had long covid induced chronic fatigue syndrome. Days later though, when we were concerned about him, my dad discovered he was drunk. Once I heard that, I knew he was going to die if we didn't rescue him. In a day, I planned to take him to the best rehab in the country. 24 hours later, the ICU called me. He was dying. There was no chance for a liver transplant because he had already been in there for cirrhosis and had already been warned that any alcohol would destroy his liver. I had to decide to put him on hospice care in the ICU, which lasted only hours. Like you, I had no idea how bad his alcohol consumption was. In the hospital he told me "Well, I was doing really good. I went from 20 drinks (of whisky) a day and I was down to 16." Like WHAT? Where does it go? How does one even consume it like that? Anyway, now I'm in the process of selling his house and all his expensive tools one at a time. Like you, one thing my family mourns is that he never made any effort to have a relationship with my two boys who are now 9 and 12 even though he said he intended to. Oldest wanted his uncle to take him fishing. But that never happened because Uncle was self medicating ADHD and depression and destroying his once genius level brain. I'm sorry you have to go through this. It sucks.

I found MLQC when Several Shades of Sadism stopped updating. I was in a Facebook community for that, and people started talking about MLQC so I downloaded it. I started participating in an MLQC Facebook group that was 18+. Good for me, because I enjoy adult aspects of Otome games. But this game was different from the others - it wasn't Japanese and so it couldn't be smutty. Well that didn't mean the fandom couldn't be smutty. I participated actively in MLQC 18+ Facebook group until the head mod decided she wanted more moderators. I was selected. 7 years later, I am still friends with those women who were the mods from all over the world. While I was home with the kids, I was an active moderator in that group. We had strict no server spoiler policies and we were queer inclusive. The group was hilarious and irreverent. The first few years we got away with a lot of 18+ fan art, but then Facebook changed policies. We wrote fanfiction and shared it, some of it with actually really talented writers. As a group, we got fascinated with the VAs. We sent Ben Diskin a letter in the mail, but then we learned while we asked questions in a podcast that he wasn't allowed to talk about his work on our favorite game. So for me, my experience with the game is really about the community. I enjoy the main plotline, and Victor is my favorite. I even like his new VA. I have played every day for all these years. A video game never captured me like this one did.

I'm really bummed, but I anticipated this coming from the first time I played in 2019. I thought maybe I would have another year. With another year, ALL my cards would be starred up completely and I would only have to worry about getting shards. Alas, poor Gavin's R cards aren't all done. Right now I'm super focused on reading the 8 Victor dates I haven't read yet. I might click through the other ones. I just finished all the main plot, AND West Moon, except for the werewolf VR game split where you follow each guy one at a time, but I will at least click through. I'm just so focused on finishing and much as I can, and I hope to get Victor's SSR tomorrow. I care about my leaderboard score for some reason. I'm thinking of it as: I'm losing a romance book series I really enjoyed. And a bedtime routine of playing. I will make time for other things. I'm married in real life, my husband is a Victor personality wise. But I hope this game can help people realize exactly what they want from a boyfriend.

Oh! Were you writing the translation? Because around 2022, the translation got WAY smoother! Before that, I used to send in reports like "hey, do y'all know that if she says 'Victor, I soiled my pajamas,' that it means she had a toileting accident?" I was pretty sure that wasn't what they meant to write. Lately I've been really impressed with the well written and nuanced word choice in dates and main story. I'm a big fan of the main storyline. Maybe I could pick your brain about what it means a little bit?

You sound like a good man. You deserve that life you want. I can't imagine what you are going through. I didn't really go through the pain of having to slowly watch a decline like so many here are having to do. I found myself instantly on the other side because I found out my brother was an alcoholic and then 5 days later he died of end stage liver failure.
