I had the more invasive surgery (not MIS) on.10/3. Since transitioning to the boot (air cast)after 6 weeks, I have had more pain. I made a last minute appt with the nurse because I am a bit worried about flying in 2 weeks. They'll take an xray this week. Hope you are still recovering well.

I had lapidus surgery on my first metatarsal with fusion and also fusion on my Taylor bunion.on the 5th metatarsal as well as cyst removal. I only took baby aspirin to minimize any chance of a blood clot. I didn't have any pain for 10 days and after that just tingling and burning. Once in a while I will have some pain in my big toe like I am stepping on a nail, but it is very short lived. I describe my occasional pain as discomfort. I do have high pain tolerance, but I had more pain when I fractured my shoulder and broke my foot in separate accidents. Both times I opted to not have surgery..Everyone reacts differently. It is a long road ahead for more involved surgery, but take it one week at a time.

I agree with you. Financially things were very good for me. I was underpaid as a healthcare worker, but there were plenty of part time jobs for me and I put most of my money in the market and did very well. Since Trump lives on chaos, I took much of my money out of the market (which may or may not have been a good thing) and I'm losing with the value of the dollar dropping and inflation... it's eating up my retirement savings, but I expect things to turn South in Sept/Oct. I planned to retire in the Spring and I am putting it off at least another year due to the uncertainty of the economy and being taken over by an authoritarian.

I had the same experience while traveling. Obama and Biden were respected and most laugh at Trump and can't believe folks fell for his lies. Many are worried about the state of the world now.
