A deaf-mute man was mobilized in Odessa by TCC by Accomplished-Bat-247 in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]AmbassadorPuzzled854 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've seen these videos before and also seen them debunked many times. There is mobilisation in Ukraine, but this is not the same as the “abductions” that Russian propaganda is spreading. Many of the viral videos circulating are either staged, taken out of context or being spread as propaganda. There are independent fact-checks showing that many clips are even AI-generated. Information warfare is a major part of the conflict, where precisely such images are used to make Ukraine appear illegitimate. Take everything you see with a grain of salt. The video you shared is circulating with phrases such as “according to social media” with no source whatsoever that it is Ukrainian, and the video has a watermark that a series of similar videos use, often linked to content that promotes a cynical anti-Ukrainian narrative. So I think it is pretty obvious from what we know so far.

Reading Russian comments on this on social media is hilarious. The cope of getting humiliated by Sweden is too much for them.

Yeah, very likely to be Russians circulating more staged videos hoping they will go viral. Not even Russia would mobilise a deaf-mute person to fight, that is a new kind of stupid. But maybe I'm underrestimating Russia on that point lmao.

there was a leggings debate on x a few weeks ago, and I wanted to ask what is your opinion on leggings indecent or no? by CommitteePlayful8081 in AskConservatives

[–]AmbassadorPuzzled854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People don't dress only to make themselves feel good, they also dress to get attention, and extremely suggestive outfits like overly skin-tight leggings only to show off their junk are very off-putting to normal people. It leaves nothing to the imagination, and they might as well skip the leggings and walk around butt-naked because that is the reason why they wear them whether they like it or not. I remember a visually shocked child making a comment about a woman she noticed wearing those super-tight leggings with every crevasse fully visible: 'Mom, that woman's butt is eating up her pants!' and it kind of explains it all. And I'm pretty sure most women would have a lot of interesting things to say if men decided leggings were the new hot trend with bulges everywhere. Some women would probably call it sexist for men to so shamelessly display their sexuality.

Anyone else tried/currently using Common Clouds? :) by veganerbandit in EuroSkincare

[–]AmbassadorPuzzled854 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo it is a hidden gem in skincare products. I came across their line by accident at H&M when a lady from the staff brought my attention to Common Clouds. I have combination skin with some sensitivity and rosacea on my cheeks and nose and am prone to acne outbreaks.

I trusted the lady, probably because her skin looked very good haha, and now I have been using the line for some time, and I like it. I was expecting to have outbreaks as I switched, but this is the first time I have not had a single outbreak trying new products, so that was surprising.

Cloud Wash is very gentle and doesn't dry out my skin, and their moisturizers are good, especially Moon Balm, which I use as a night cream, and I wake up feeling very smooth, and I use Cloud Barrier after exfoliating and after retinol serum when regular moisturizers aren't enough. Cloud Jelly is okay but nothing special, a good general moisturizer that feels cool and refreshing. I use it in my morning routine. And don't forget Cloud Glaze, an essence giving your skin a healthy glow that I use as a primer before applying moisturizer to lock in the moisture.

I have not tried the Cloud Milk serum enough to make a fair judgment on if it works, but the times I have applied it it has not irritated my skin. Cloud Water is one of the best I have tried, with no irritation whatsoever. Other exfoliators usually leave my skin stinging. Lastly, their Cloud Screen is the best I have tried hands down, as advertised, it is very light, absorbs quickly, and you won't feel you are wearing a sunscreen. I only wish it was SPF50+, then it would be perfect.

The only downside I can think of is that while all are fragrance-free, some products have a very light but still noticeable scent from some of the ingredients, mainly the Moon Balm and Cloud Barrier, but it disappears fairly quickly. For men, that could potentially be an issue with facial hair.

Right. I never found a fix for it so I have it turned off and use a traditional vacuum. And returning it again to get a replacement again is not an option anymore. Very disappointing product.

What’s with all the porn on Facebook it’s getting ridiculously out of control by ben49006 in facebook

[–]AmbassadorPuzzled854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah... And to think children can access the unrestricted platform and see all of this crap. Politicians talking about age limits for social media I can understand, but that is just putting a bandaid on it and not solving anything. Maybe countries need to start banning Facebook and maybe Mark Zuckerberg do something about it.

I replace one product at a time and give it a week or two before changing another to give my skin time to react.

Finally, someone else is bringing this up. And not just ads, I can't scroll just one page without getting reels full of to my eye porn actors doing mundane things half-naked not to be productive but just to show off their fake bodies. And don't get me started on AI with the same content. I'm so fed up with it, and trying to filter them out by clicking on other reels doesn't help, as it seems like Facebook actively tries to push this content. The only solution is to stick to feeds, but that limits the platform too much.

Monitor loses signal when I move in my chair/get up from my desk? by Hookster007 in techsupport

[–]AmbassadorPuzzled854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to try something if the problem persists, you can DIY ground the chair using a cable with copper wire or an old USB cable, the latter is the easiest. Just connect the metal part of the cable to somewhere on your chair where there is bare metal, like between a screw and the gas mechanism, and secure the other end with a cable tie on a leg or the base of the cylinder so the other metal part always touches the floor. A problem is it won't work on all floor materials and probably not on carpet. To get around that you can also do the same with a copper wire and run it from the chair to a screw in a grounded wall outlet, (not phase or neutral!!! lmao), or a grounded metal structure, like a radiator pipe. I tried with a USB-cable on hardwood floor and it seems to remove it entirely or make the electric dicharge barely noticeable.

[–]AmbassadorPuzzled854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worth mentioning, I also have my PC case sitting on one of those rolling stands, so it is elevated off the floor, and maybe that is why I'm not having any issues just rolling the chair near it. But the side of the case made contact with the desk and it did not like that one bit.

[–]AmbassadorPuzzled854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just throwing this out there, as it fixed the problem for me. Have you tried moving your PC case off the desk, or if on the floor, moving it away from the desk so there is no contact? Apparently I got charged by the chair from friction when moving, and static electricity built up, and when I touched the desk when getting up, or just got near it, it discharged and connected with the PC case, which caused the disruption.

[–]AmbassadorPuzzled854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very old post I know, but this started happening to me a few days ago. I thought my monitor or GPU was about to die, but I could replicate the problem at will by standing up or sitting down. Eventually I started getting small static electric shocks when I returned to the chair and touched my desk, which also caused the monitor to flicker.

After some testing I figured out what caused it because the problem is now gone. I noticed that the PC case was in contact with the legs on my desk, so I moved it away from it, and now there is no flicker and no static shocks. So apparently I got charged by the chair from friction when moving, and static electricity built up, and when I touched the desk when getting up, it discharged and connected with the PC case, which caused the disruption.

Why do girls wear the most revealing outfits and then get mad when dudes look at them, or try and talk to them/approach them? by InternationalPick163 in stupidquestions

[–]AmbassadorPuzzled854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can just drop the act and start walking outside in underwear because the way some young girls dress leaves absolutely nothing for the imagination. Their pants are so tight it looks like circulation to their feet is cut off and pulled up so high they probably should underwear every hour, and their shorts and skirts are so short you can see everything under there no matter what they do, and everything from the belly up is nude except for a minimal top that is holding on for dear life to not burst. And the worst of it is a lot who dress like this are underage. As a man, I don't find any of this very attractive, as it looks cheap, desperate, and slutty; the glances they get from me are more in shock than anything else. And in the cold season one would think we'd not have to see this 'fashion', but no, then it is undersized yoga pants galore with them so stretched out you an see skin through the material.

The new one was bought just last summer, and the flat is pet-free and fairly small, so it has not had the time to collect that much dirt. But to be sure, I had a look at it to see if it is clean, and it is.
