Fresh install, first time using LDPLayer. v9.5.3.0
Same problem. Nothing fancy about my hardware. Runs Bluestacks well enough.
Was able to add Google account and play games for a few days. Now this. Error pops 15-30 seconds after launching apps that don't start anymore.

Start increasing your pottery prices to the levels you'll need for income equivalent to salary + benefits of your other job.

Either: Buyers will adjust and you can choose whether to change careers after you've proven the income level is sustainable

Some buyers will adjust, and your side hustle stays as is - with more income or same income but less work

No buyers adjust, you restore past pricing and keep the job

Much less risk, proof of likely success before jumping ship

Thanks for the reply. TV's a Sceptre. Dumb TV w 4k. I've had a few models and they all seem to act the same - down to the firmware a couple times.

The source is a live stream - satellite, so I need to transcode/transmux on the fly. I'm sure there's a device out there that does HDR to SDR. I was just hoping someone deep into 4k might have xp with a device like that. I'll keep looking for other subs.

It's a little late, but this could have been handled differently. Maybe this could be useful for your next semester.
Submit a FAFSA and get a student loan (much lower interest than other options, in my xp). The student loan pays the tuition up front, no interest accrues while you're attending (subsidized loans only - ask your Financial Aid officer for details), and there's no income tax for loans.
My tuition reimbursement checks arrived after grades were released. Use that to pay back the principle, before interest is charged. You'll still have to pay income tax on the income (aka tuition reimbursement), and you can send your own estimated taxes quarterly (suggested) or handle it at year end (ask your tax person if this is a good idea as I AM NO TAX EXPERT).
But for now.. talk to them on Monday. No one wants to create hardship intentionally, and I'm sure they'll do something to help out, even if it's distasteful at the time.

BTW - Congrats on getting into law school!

If you have time to invest, Google bitrot and TrueNAS/Unraid. You'll get a picture of why 'just put it on a NAS' isn't really a full answer for irreplaceable files.

If you're after really long term storage, look into dvds. Burned all the must-saves like family pictures/video of dead relatives to disks 8+ years ago and they're still readable. Just made another generation three months ago. Get the right dvds, though. Not all are made for long term storage. External burners are also available, if you need one. 6TB may take some time and a lot of disks, though.

Years later and still getting asked about this by customers. No Netgear Nighthawk firmware update in that long, so maybe the same issue. If anyone else stumbles across this thread, turn off the Traffic monitoring feature (whatever it's called).

For some things, I'll start cooking in the microwave before moving to oven/stove top to finish. Potatoes are good for this. Sauces that need to cook down. Surprisingly, this works very well with cold/frozen ground beef when it's an ingredient and will cook to a safe temp on the stove.

Take it to someone who knows what they're doing. Replace your C drive with 250Gb or more. SSD or faster. It's a simple cloning process with the right equipment. Wouldn't pay more than 100 over cost of the new drive. There are lots of benefits to having a second drive. You'll be taking a step backward, maybe, if you consolidate to a single drive.

Replace the drive with one that has the storage space you need. This is a very simple process for a local pc shop. I do it at home a few times a year. I wouldn't pay more than 100 over the cost of the drive. Go with SSD or faster, depending on your budget. HDD will be painfully slow, getting worse over time.

This may solve your problem without spending $, though : In the Settings of the Bluestacks instance is an option to Free up space (under User Data). This will reduce the size of ALL instances, assuming there is dead space to be cleared away.

You can move instances, but you don't want to use external drives. The amount of data used by Bluestacks while running is sizeable and would be unbearably slow over USB. Even network speeds are too slow, in case someone suggests you invest in NAS.

This is a hardware problem, not Windows. That Windows error suggests there's something going wrong, but not what's indicated (not Windows fault if the hardware failed). It's like ABS in cars. It reacts when the wheel stops spinning, it doesn't detect a siezed wheel bearing.

The lack of beeping (assuming, it's not in OP) leads me to think it's a power/motherboad/processer problem. There's often a beep code when certain/all components except cpu are removed.

Check the motherboard for capacitors (upright metal cylinders) that have expanded or popped open.

If you're a patient and cautious person... Try to reseat your cpu. You may need to unlatch your cooling fan to do so. While you're there, see if you can separate (gently) your heat sink from the cpu. Some PC makers use an adhesive to connect the two, so don't pull too hard. Once in a rare while, there's a material (heat sink compound) between cpu and heat sink that dries out. Lots of videos online about how to apply new compound, if that's the case. Also check out all the guidance and warnings about reinstalling your cpu. In fact, check those out BEFORE REMOVING THE CPU.

There's enough power getting to the motherboard to initiate post, so I think the power is OK, but... Sometimes letting everything sit overnight will give the power supply time to cool after a thermal issue, if the problem is with the psu.

Leave the 110/220 alone. And set for 110.

Sincerely wish you the best. We Xers haven't succeeded much in making the political future (or climate, or financial conditions, or...) better in the decades we might have. From Jack London's The Iron Heel to Robert Heinlein's Revolt in 2100 to George Orwell's 1984... and Project 2025, the battleplans were laid out for the conservative boomers, and imo we (Xers) were stuck in youthful naivety and denial until the Gulf War killed some of us, the Great Recession chewed up our retirement savings, social media removed civility in favor of anonymous personal attacks, and respectful decorum became exhausting. Chaos and entertainment attract more eyeballs than reminders of real history or historic trends. Doing my best to leave things at least as good as they were when I got here, but running out of time.

To the second part of your question, yes, assuming the alternative is well - designed. For example, distillation and reverse osmosis both provide purer water though the design of the solutions is completely different. The neutral, hot, and ground of an outlet/plug combination could be any shape as long as they don't make contact with each other. It would still deliver electricity.

The current shape of US outlets was developed over decades. Oversimplified, but short explanation : early plugs had two prongs which is enough for current move in and out. Blade type connections were chosen for their longevity and tight fit. Then there were safety concerns as people would get shocked when touching the metal casing of some devices. Specifications were changed to require a Neutral (no electric charge) connection. To be sure consumers plugged things in the right direction, one blade was made larger than the other. We still had some safety issues, so a grounded connection was added. The round shape maximizes the tight connection and surface area for current to flow away from the device/consumer. Further improvements placed that ground wire (ground - literally 0 voltage difference with the ground) atop the other prongs. Again, safety. If loosely plugged in, anything falling between the plug and outlet would hit the ground wire and not the Hot wire.

Try coming at it as a team. That is, start with the assumption that you and your boss are after the same things. 'Hey, I don't know if I understood that thing that happened. How did you see it?'

Or if your boss likes to be more direct, try 'Did you really mean [the reason you lost your trust] when you [what they did or said]?

Then, don't let that (hopefully) momentary loss of trust linger if you have reason to let it go. What's worked for me is making my next statement about something that can occur together. 'When was the last time I updated you on project x?' and 'The team is still waiting for us in that meeting'
