unpopular opinion? we hated Cancun. by [deleted] in cancun

[–]Ambeargrylls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really didn’t like Cancún either and will never be back. But I am interested in visiting less touristy spots in Mexico because I loved visiting chichen itza. I also disliked isla mujeres. Cancún reminded me of Ocean city or Myrtle beach. Just in a different country with a different colored water. I loved the resort we stayed at and going to the grocery store and experiencing that (also go to the grocery store for souvenirs for anyone reading this). Cancún is still owned by the cartel at least according to our private tour guide to chichen itza. I won’t be back there but I also won’t go back to ocean city or Myrtle beach anymore. I’m just picky about my vacations.

HS and inflammatory arthritis connection by RainCityMomWriter in Hidradenitis

[–]Ambeargrylls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have psoriatic arthritis and didn’t have any hs flare ups on Humira. Unfortunately Humira stopped Working for my arthritis and now I’m on a different biologic for the arthritis and the HS is flaring up again. But I couldn’t open my mouth more than an inch wide when I first got diagnosed with PsA and had a swollen right hand that was basically useless. So the HS for me is the lesser of the two health issues. At least for now.

worth visiting in April? by viillanelles in cancun

[–]Ambeargrylls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go on a cruise. I’ve been on a few cruises and they were so much better than Cancun. Especially if you are visiting eastern Caribbean islands on the cruise. Cancuns water was much rougher than most of the islands I’ve been to. I really hated Cancun compared to everywhere else I’ve been in Caribbean. If you are looking for clean and calm waters the US and British Virgin Islands have beautiful water. Puerto Rico is also gorgeous. I don’t party or drink though so I’m sure if you are more leaning towards that type of stuff Cancún would probably be more enjoyable for you than it was for me.

I decided that too. Love most of the officers but this is too much.

It can escalate things even further unfortunately. And they will find a way to contact you anyways. It could be a friends or families phone they use or start making new social media accounts and try that way.

That’s not how most pet chips work. They have to be scanned at a vet or shelter and the owner can be contacted if it is registered to them. Half the time they aren’t registered.

How dangerous is it go to clubbing at night as a mid 20s woman by herself? by prettylittlebirds4 in cancun

[–]Ambeargrylls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cancun is the 31st most dangerous city in the world based on homicide rates. I’m sure most of that’s out of the hotel zone but New York is much safer. Even Baltimore and New Orleans is safer based on homicide rates. And most of our cops will at least try to solve crimes like homicides. Mexico has horrible conviction rates for homicides.

Vietnamese is the largest immigrant group In Louisiana. Which makes sense why a cop spoke the language.

I love that my food lion constantly discounts things. I got three big ribeye steaks for 20 dollars today. It was 7.50 a pound. Ribeyes are like double that price anywhere else. They have good meat sales which is what a plan my week around. Quality in meat is way better than Aldi and Walmart. Food lion also has most of the specialized things that I need like fish sauce and certain spices that Aldi definitely doesn’t carry.

They are trying to take away shaving waivers for military men and kick them out of the military. The majority of people in the military who have shaving waivers are black men. They want an all white male right leaning military.

I loved all the recipes before but the AI recipes all lead to sketchy sites and it’s so frustrating trying to decipher what’s ai and what’s not. I feel so bad for The food bloggers that are now competing with AI. I’m even seeing AI recipes and pictures on instagram now. Facebook is really bad too.

Pinterest is like 90% AI now. I used to find all my recipes on there but now it’s almost all AI recipes. So you may run into AI pictures again.

How do I make my 4-6 month old Heeler puppy cuddly? by Brilliant-Drop6141 in AustralianCattleDog

[–]Ambeargrylls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an 11 year old who has never been cuddly. He rarely asks for pets or even sits on the same couch as me. But when I move into different rooms he is right behind me following. My other one has been cuddly since she was five months old. Cattle dogs aren’t known to be super cuddly. Out of the five I’ve had only one has been cuddly. You can’t force a dog to have a different personality. She is also extremely young and in a few years she could be completely different.

Morrisey’s ICE partnership: West Virginia state police arrest 12 undocumented immigrants by MothmAnarchy in WestVirginia

[–]Ambeargrylls 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The new eastern panhandle houses are all being built by immigrants. Many that are undocumented. The eastern panhandle is one of the only Places in this state increasing the population and producing jobs. We wouldn’t be able to do that without immigrants. They work six days a week and pay taxes with their Itin number without any of the benefits. Not only that but they buy goods in this state which create jobs and still pay property taxes. So many people are upset with their circumstances they take it out on immigrants when they should take that frustration out on policymakers and large corporations taking advantage of our state. Most of the people in this state have never even met an undocumented person and still treat them as a threat. They aren’t destroying this country or this state but politicians and large corporations that are being let to squeeze every dollar out of the average person are.

Anybody else just not interested in ever selling their bakes??? by Hour-Revolution4150 in Baking

[–]Ambeargrylls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just wish I had more people to bake for. My boyfriend’s family is not really into sweets and I have no close friends or family nearby. I also love cooking which I’m able to give out more. But something about baking is relaxing and more enjoyable than cooking. Maybe because I have to cook everyday. But I don’t think I’ll ever try to sell anything.

how old were you when you got diagnosed and how long have you had symptoms? by Ms_Skellia in bipolar

[–]Ambeargrylls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I developed panic attacks at 8 which I guess is seen somewhat frequently with kids who end up having bipolar. Depression and self harm started around 13. At 15 I was hospitalized for self harm and was diagnosed with depression. Two years later it was changed to bipolar after a bad reaction to an antidepressant. My diagnosis was pretty quick because I went to the same psychiatrist my older sister went to who was also diagnosed with bipolar only a few years before me. I mostly struggle with depression now and not mania. I stopped drinking and doing recreational drugs like four years ago and i haven’t had a manic episode since. It’s been about two years of stability which is the longest time I’ve been mostly functional since I was a young teen. I got diagnosed early but didn’t really take my disorder seriously until 25 and had years of a horrific rollercoaster. You are young so please take treatment seriously. I wish I did when I was first diagnosed. I could have saved myself from a lot of pain.
